How to Achieve Flat Tummy without Exercising

Updated on April 1, 2010

Exercise is the second best thing you can do to lose that floppy belly and obtain a flat tummy

Have you ever wonder if it’s possible to obtain a flat tummy without exercise? Well truth be told, exercise is the second best thing you can do to lose that floppy belly and obtain a flat tummy. What’s the fist one? When it comes to having a flat tummy, the first thing you need to do is start eating healthier, get at least seven and half hours of sleep and avoid too much stress, especially if you want to achieve a flat tummy without exercise.

Foods that will help you obtain a flat tummy

Do you know there are foods that burn calories without you exercising? Well believe it or not, there are. If you want to achieve a flat tummy without exercise then you have to start eating foods high in protein and fiber. Why? Foods high in protein and fiber are harder for the body to digest; as a result you will burn calories as your body digests these foods, which means you can achieve a flat tummy by eating fat burning foods like the ones mentioned below!

· Eggs (by removing the yolk you don’t have to worry about cholesterol)

· Beans

· Oat meal

· Olive Oil

· Whole Grains

As long as you eat these foods, along with smaller portions at meal time, you can achieve a flat tummy without exercising! Avoiding soft drinks and drinking a lot of water can also help you achieve a flat tummy without doing a single crunch! (As you may already know, avoiding fatty foods, such as pizza, burgers, and fries as much as possible will also help you obtain a flat tummy.)

Sleep your way to a flat tummy

When you exercise your body produces a lot of hormones that help you loose weigh, but did you know this hormones act wile you are sleeping? They do, therefore if you want to achieve a flat tummy without exercising get at least 7½ hours of sleep each night. Remember that you are still burning calories eating foods high in protein and fiber; therefore sleep is a must for a flat tummy!

Less stress will lead to a flat tummy

If you want a flat tummy without exercise, avoid too much stress!! When you are under constant stress your body produces too much adrenaline, cortisol and insulin. These hormones make you very hungry, and although being hungry is not bad, too much hunger means that instead of a flat tummy you will have a floppy tummy!!

As you can see, there are several things you can do to achieve a flat tummy without the pain of crunches, sit-ups, or any other type of abdominal exercise. However, it is important to remember that although achieving a flat tummy is possible with no exercise, you also have to take into consideration some other things, like your overall body weight. (If you floppy tummy is not the only problem, then unfortunately, exercising is the best option.) Remember, as long as you implement better eating habits and adopt a healthier life style in general, a flat tummy without exercise, after all who does not want to achieve a flat tummy without exercise!!
