I see Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. I like the former one better but maybe they changed it to the latter one. This was originally called Stein-Leventhal Syndrome.
This is not my first time writing an article like this. If you do not like the word "cure" you can substitute another word. The way to cure obesity is to stop creating it. The way to cure PCOS is to stop creating it.
This is closely associated with endometriosis since menstruation is a big part of this. Lifestyle, including diet, can have a powerful effect on menstruation. This was written on May 14, 2013. See my article How to Cure Endometriosis.
Mystery solved: People may wonder why the medical industry is not busy curing diseases. The reason is that they are too busy naming and re-naming diseases. For example you have PAD-- peripheral artery disease. But it is also called peripheral arterial disease. When you have pain in the legs from this, it is called intermittent claudication.
I have a book called Anti-Cancer-- A New Way of Life. A medical doctor got brain cancer. Doctors cured it but then it came back just like with Steve Jobs. This time the doctor decided to investigate it himself and change his lifestyle. So he did that. One big change was to become a vegetarian.
Then when the cancer did not come back for 15 years, he wrote the above book. Why I am I telling you all of this. This is the way that you can cure many diseases including endometriosis and PCOS-- by changing your lifestyle in almost the same way as the doctor above.
First it is very important for countless health problems to make sure that you are getting enough vitamin D that is not a vitamin but a neurosteroid hormone. See How Much Vitamin D Should You Take Daily. Doctor of Public Health, Cedric Garland, says that enough vitamin D can virtually eradicate breast cancer.
As you can see from the article under the chart in the picture, this involves an imbalance of female hormones and may symptoms like infertility, weight gain, diabetes, insulin resistance and more. That article says:
As many as 1 out of 15 women are affected with PCOS.
No two women with PCOS are alike and there is no simple test to diagnose PCOS.
Since PCOS is linked to insulin resistance, it is wise to avoid foods that cause extreme spikes in insulin levels.
Women with PCOS can potentially reverse the effects with proper nutrition and exercise. [CURE]

Note that a forum on PCOS says that 49% of the people believe in curing it naturally. On it there are people who cured it and those that say that there is no cure. This is similar to endometriosis and also on preventing autism and type 1 diabetes.
It says that 22% believe that there is no cure. 19% say that they do not know. So this is how it is with many diseases. It tells about a 23 year old woman that had it for 2 years and how she cured it. For 3 weeks she only drank a detox drink and nothing else made of 5 large carrots, 1 beet, 1 cucumber, 2 stalks of celery, and 1 apple for taste.
This article is also telling about a basic philosophy about most diseases. The purpose of the above that is a modified type of fasting, is to detoxify the body or get rid of excess toxins. A basic idea of natural health is that most disease are caused by too much or too many toxins in the body that is called toxemia. That is why fasting has cured so many diseases and was used by the 3 fathers of modern medicine.
To show you the similar principle that these cures work on, the woman that I helped to cure her endometriosis would not eat (fast) for 3 days before her menstruation (period). Please note that with autism they have identified certain toxins like mercury that increases chance of getting it. But they found that before these different toxins can hurt them, they must have a deficiency of vitamin D (neurosteroid) as an embryo or baby. Please note that Wikipedia says that there is a vitamin D deficiency pandemic (epidemic over a large area).
A recent study by Rooney et al (2014) found that cinnamo, white peony and spearmint were beneficial in the treatment of PCOS. In the review of research studies on herbal medicine and PCOS they found that all symptoms of the syndrome were addressed and reduced.

When I was 19, my doctor at the time just prescribed me The Pill, saying many women had irregular cycles and taking hormones through the pill would fix my problems.
Also many do not know that there diet has a huge effect on menstruation according to Obstetrics & Gynecology 2000;95:245-250. They found that eating a vegetarian diet caused premenstrual and menstrual symptom to lessen including less bleeding, cramping and mood swings. Heavy bleeding is associated with iron-deficiency anemia.

Vitamin D deficiency may exacerbate symptoms of PCOS, with observational studies showing lower 25OHD levels were associated with insulin resistance, ovulatory and menstrual irregularities, lower pregnancy success, hirsutism, hyperandrogenism, obesity and elevated cardiovascular disease risk factors.
Also for more on fertility and vitamin D, here is an article from the U.S. National Library of Medicine (PubMedCentral) called Vitamin D - roles in women's reproductive health. It says:
Human and animal data suggest that low vitamin D status is associated with impaired fertility, endometriosis and polycystic ovary syndrome.
Also doctors do not have time to cure diseases since they are too busy re-naming diseases. PCOS used to be polycystic ovarian syndrome. Now it is polycystic ovary syndrome.
On the first video below about healing PCOS naturally she says that you are not going to cure it overnight! She also talks about the importance of organically grownfood that I mention above. She also talks about xeno-hormones and exercise. She mentions the herb cinnamon since it is great at helping the blood sugar balance which is a problem with diabetes. Does healing sound better than curing?
On the second video below she says the doctors verified that she is totally cured of PCOS. She talks about cutting down on animal foods but says that it is essential to cut out the same foods that have made 35% of Americans obese. These are all the processed foods like refined grains, junk food with added sugar and all that. She also talks about the importance of exercise that even I need to listen to (I spend a lot of time at the computer-- researching and writing). What should people eat?
Well Joel Fuhrman M.D. says that to avoid disease everyone should eat GOMBBS. This stands for greens, onions, mushrooms (fungus), berries (actually including all fruit), beans, nuts and seeds. Another way of describing a healing diet is to call it a whole plant food diet. These are the plant foods that grow in nature and whole refers to not altering them or processing them too much. Hundreds of doctors follow Dr. Joel Fuhrman's nutritarian diet (eating nutrient dense foods). He created the ANDI scale that is used by Whole Foods markets.
