Crash Diets Are Temporary Solutions

Losing weight is extremely difficult for some of us, especially when you think that you have too much to lose and a quick fix is sometimes a good kick start to get you going because you can see and feel results immediately.

There is nothing better than going on a diet that you know will give you results that you can feel in a short amount of time but with every easy solution, there is always a catch.

A crash diet is great for people who think that they are too far gone to lose weight and this helps give them the start and motivation that they need to continue on to a good and healthy eating plan.

It is also fantastic if you have an outfit that you planned to wear soon and have found that it is a size too small because you can crash diet to fit into the outfit by the time you need to.

Crash diets however, are in no way healthy and as quickly as you lose the weight is as quickly as you gain it all back again. It is not a permanent solution and it can also mess up your system as it is in no way healthy to crash diet.

Now that we have all of that out of the way, I have listed a few crash diets that you can try for quick weight loss but remember that you will gain it all back again and it might make you feel sick so do it once and get yourself onto a diet that really works long term and lets you live a balanced and healthy lifestyle. A healthy eating plan will ensure that you do not gain weight and you can still enjoy the small pleasures and treats that you have always eaten.

The Tuna Diet - 3 days 2kg's

The first crash diet I have chosen is one that will allow you to lose 5 pounds in 3 days. It is not recommended to continue on with this after the 3 days as you will feel sick, there is no nutrition and you might get mercury poisoning.

They say that you can lose 5 kg's on this diet but it is not true as I only lost 2kg's.

It is a good diet for those who need to drop cholesterol levels but you lose mostly water and not fat.

The diet is used by bodybuilders and all you have to eat is tuna. You are only allowed to drink water so make sure that it is 8 glasses per day.

Tuna is your breakfast, lunch and supper for 3 days.

Eating the tuna must be done 6 times in the day and you need to have vitamins on this diet even though it is only 3 days, it will suck the energy out of you.

For every kilogram of your weight, you need to eat 3 grams of tuna.

This is what you do for 3 days and then you can only do it again in one month. Do not do this for more than the 3 days as it is not at all a healthy option and you will get sick.

Cabbage soup diet 7days and 8kg's

The diet works well for some and for others it doesn't. I lost nothing on this diet but other family members lost almost 10kg's. My problem was that I did not eat the soup as much as I should have and the trick to this diet is too eat the soup in order to lose.

So if you are not a fan of cabbage, then this diet is not for you.

It takes 7 days and you have to follow it exactly or you will not lose.

Recipe for the soup

2 onions

2 cloves of garlic

2 cans tomato

2 green peppers

3 carrots/ 10 ounces mushroom

1 bunch celery

half a cabbage

148 ounces v8 juice(optional)

mix everything together and this is your soup

You can add salt and pepper or even chilli to make it tastier but the secret to this diet is the soup. So don't forget to eat it.

Eat all the fruit you want except for bananas

Crash diets for quick weight loss

Tuna diet with only tuna and water for 3 days will help you lose 2kg's

Miami heart diet is a 3 day on and 4 day off diet that you follow for one month to lose 10kg's

The Cabbage soup diet is a 7 day diet that will help you lose at least 7kg's if you eat the cabbage.

Crash diets are not healthy but if you struggle to lose weight and you need something to get you started then do it and continue on to a healthy eating plan.

Crash diets are not healthy and you will gain back every kilo that you lose.

Miami Heart foundation Diet 5 kg's in 3 days

This diet is also based on low calorie intake and apparently it is a chemical diet. You have to follow it for a month and the diet works only if you do your 3 days and then eat normally for 4 days and then continue on for one month.

This diet has nothing to do with the Miami heart foundation but it does cut calorie intake and fat.

I have tried this one too and it worked well. I lost 10kg's in one month but sadly you do pick it all up again if you do not continue on to do a normal diet afterwards.

Eating calories that are too low for you, forces the body to store as much as it can by going into survival mode which will help short term but not permanently.

In saying that it is a quick fix and below is the diet.

You can have water, add salt and pepper and you are allowed to have black tea or coffee with every meal along with sweetners.

black coffee or tea. 1/2 grapefruit.
1 egg/ 1 slice toast
5 crackers/ 1 slice cheese
1 slice of toast with 1 tbs peanut butter
1 banana
1 small apple
1/2 cup tuna, 1 slice of toast
1 cup cottage cheese
1 hard boiled egg
black tea or coffee
5 crackers
1 slice toast
3 ounces lean meat
2 viennas
1 cup tuna
1 cup green beans
1/2 cup carrots
1 cup carrots

1 cup broccoli
1 cup cauliflower
1 cup vanilla ice - cream
1 banana
1 cup melon

Cucumber/ lime and mint water 3 day diet

This is not healthy to do at all for a longer period than 3 days but it does have some good points.

It will flush out all your toxins and help your kidneys too.

For a quick 3 kilo loss all you have to do is make your water, leave it overnight and drink it for 3 days.

The ingredients will be 1 cucumber, 1 lime and water. Chop the cucumber and lime and then add it to a bottle of water.

Leave it to soak overnight and drink it to lose weight quickly.

Avoid doing this for longer as you will become sick.

Crash diets are great for quick weight loss if you have something urgent to fit into.

They are also good for people who think that they are too large to see results. By doing a crash diet it will motivate them to continue on to a better plan as they will know that results can be achieved through dieting.

A crash diet is a quick fix and not a permanent solution as the weight you lose will be gained back as quickly as the loss.

It is important to consult a doctor before doing any diet as well as taking vitamins for all the nutrients that you lose on the crash diets.

Following a healthy eating plan is the best solution as you will not gain back the weight and you can also eat the foods that you enjoy without feeling guilty.

      I also love tuna but i must say that after this diet I wanted to take a very long break from it! The diet works and if you love tuna it is easier but the only diet that has ever worked for me is having 3 meals and 3 snacks per day. I don't starve myself and I can eat what I want with exercise.

      I love, love, love tuna and could eat it every day. This type of crash diet would work for me! On the serious side, as you wrote, finding and developing a healthy eating plan is the better choice.
