How to deal with problems in life?
How to deal with problems in life?
One of the common complaints we hear from the people around us is that the problems they may be facing in their life. Every day and everywhere there are problems. Many times we find it hard to stay happy. When one problem is solved, another one comes up.
People have money problems, work problems, Relationship problems, family problems, health problems..... the list goes on. And we tempted to think that people who are happy and successful are having less problem than us. Looking at the successful people we say, look, they don't have much problem. They have the money they needed, they have the job they love, they have good friends, they have obedient kids, they have the successful business, they have a loving family etc. etc. Everything going well with them. That is why they are happy and successful. But the reality is that the more successful you are, the more problems you have to face. More success means more challenges they have to face, more success means more risk they have to take.
The number of problems they are facing makes them more successful. In India, for leading a peaceful life, people often go to the forest or lonely places like mountains or valleys to sit there and meditate. They are called "Sadu" or "Sanyasi". They leave behind their obligation to the family or relatives. They are happy and peaceful. They are running away from life. The other group they do not have problems are the people rest in peace at the graveyard! Rest every one has problems, one way or the other.
No wonder, you would be happy, if everything goes well with you.
Young and old, rich and poor, successful and unsuccessful, educated and uneducated, all have problems. The difference is the level of their problems varies from each other. Rich and successful have big problems. Poor and unsuccessful have small problems. Still, they all have problems which they can face. Successful people are successful just because they are ready to face challenges larger than normal people.
Poor are poor just because they are not ready to face challenges and problems which rich people are ready to face. That is the difference. Winning the US elections make Barack Obama very happy. As a new US president, he has to face bigger challenges. He has to do right and innovative things, otherwise, he will lose his position. If he has to keep his position, he has to face new challenges. He has to be more careful about his work he does and the decisions he makes to run the country on a daily basis. Looking at him, we may say he is lucky, happy and successful. But, I think, as the US president, he has to bear more stress than he as an ordinary citizen.
You may ask "if life is loaded with full of problems then How can we find happiness in life"?"
The answer is, find happiness while taking care of your problems. Deal your problems with a free mind. Learn to laugh at your problems which we face in our journey. Don't take life so seriously. We must remember the key strategy of the greatest philosopher ever lived in this world.
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? "And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'
On the other hand, we need problems. They will make us grow.
Problems are there to make us grow and learn. When you face a problem, it is an indication that we need to change our way of life or improve ourselves and change our behavior. If you are fighting with your spouse or partner, no matter whose fault it may seem to be, it is an indication that you need to change the way you behave and communicate with your spouse.
As a responsible husband or wife, if you decided to evaluate yourself and choose to take some positive actions like spending more time with your spouse, showing more love, appreciating your partner more, listening with your heart and communicating honestly, you would solve the problem and end up as a better person yourself. You would grow when you face problems.
If you have money problems, it is an indication that you need to improve the way you spend your money. You need to analyze your financial status and learn to manage your money. Learn to avoid unnecessary expenses, and learn to purchase value for money. Learn to earn money. Don't run after branded items and first class seats. By analyzing and correcting your way of spending and investing you can claim victory over your financial problems. Learn to be content with what you have. You learned from your problem. So there must be problems for the growth. It makes us grow into a better person. When we grow in that level, life will take you to another level of success. So, problems are the steps to your growth and success. It will get you into a successful business or having a love life in your relationship.
When you avoid problems or not dealing with your problems properly means you are growing downwardly.
Let me explain. When you having a small fight in your family, instead of dealing with it properly, you can run away or ignore and start blaming others. Then this problem will grow day by day, which will break your relationship. Then you enter into another relationship hoping to lead a better life. But very soon you will find the same problem in the worst form. Then you think that the earlier life was better than this. If you ignore the knock of the life, life will come with a bat to hit you. If you avoid that also and not changing, life will hit you with something heavier than the bat and crush you. Your growth will be downward and you will grow to the worst person in life. We see such shattered and bitter persons around us. So be careful when you face problems.
When you have money problems, it is a knock from life. If you avoid or ignore it, very soon you will become bankrupt. You know Mike Tyson earned around $ 300 million in his boxing Carrier but lost everything and filed for bankruptcy in 2003 owing to a debt of $ 27 million. There are a number of successful persons out there who lost their fortune by living a wild life. They are successful in one area, but not successful in another area of life.
Unless you change yourself, the same problems will come in your way from every walk of your life.
If you learn and change, life will take you to another level of success.
Have you ever noticed that some people keep on experiencing the same problem in every company they are working and in every relationship they are entered into? They often fail to realize that they are the ones who created the problem consciously or unconsciously. Instead of blaming others, they need to change them self. What they need to do is change themselves.
Solve it when it is small.
Problems start with small arguments. Ignoring it start occasional fights. Still ignoring it, then it happens frequently and you fell into a bitter fight which will end up in separation or end of the relation. See, problems also grow day by day.
Successful people know how to deal with the problem when it is small. That is why they are happy and successful. They do not have many problems.
Successful people know how to manage their money when they face small money problems. Start act on it. Deal with it. Correct it.
When you have a small health problem, manage your diet. Deal with it. You will become successful, healthy millionaire, with a happy relationship very soon
It is the time to look at God
Jesus told his disciples that "In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Yes, there is trouble in this world. One way or the other, we all have to go through some kind of troubles. It may vary from person to person, place to place, culture to culture, but all have to go through some troubles in this life.
God could have kept Joseph out of jail, kept Jeremiah from being tossed into a slimy pit, kept Daniel out of the lion’s den, kept Paul from being shipwrecked three times, and kept the three Hebrew young men from being thrown into the blazing furnace, but he didn’t. He let those problems happen, and each of those people was drawn closer to God as a result.
When we go through the troubles and problems, it draws us near to God. It helps us to look at God. It helps us pray earnestly to God. That is the time when we pray our honest, heartfelt and authentic prayer. God is the only one who can deliver us from all of our troubles.
