How to make your thighs toned and appealing.
Whether you are preparing for the rising temperature, you want to show off that new tattoo you got on your leg, or maybe you’re just tired of wearing pants and dresses all summer; you want to get your thighs ready. Having nice thighs makes your booty look a whole lot better. The truth is your thighs are a trouble area, because it attracts fat more than any part of your body. This is because your legs absorb food fats to keep them from overwhelming your body. If you seriously want to get your thighs ready for the summer instead of making excuses for not wearing a bikini to the beach, or not going to the beach at all then here are some tips that will help you shape, strengthen, and tone your thighs.
Effective thigh workouts done at home
If you don’t have an expensive gym membership, don’t here are some effective thigh workouts that can be done at home:
Stand on your right leg with your hands behind your head. Bend your left knee and swing your leg up and across your body (left foot flexed). Without touching the floor sweep your left leg out and the left side. Your core muscles are active while targeting your inner thighs.
Side lunge sweep
Stand with your feet together, hands on your hip. Take a wide step out to your right side and lower into a lunge, bending your right knee and pushing your hips behind you. Push through your right heel and stand back up, crossing your right leg in front of your body (without touching the floor). Swing your leg back out to the right side and repeat. This move is effective for working your inner and outer thigh.
Lie face up and raise your legs directly over your hips joint keep your legs straight. Use a quick motion to lower your legs out to the sides before bringing them back in the crossing left over right. Quickly lower your legs back to the out to the sides then cross the again (right over left). Continue crossing and uncrossing your legs. Pick up the pace for intensity, but with perfect form. This move is simple and great for targeting your inner and outer thighs.
Kneeling side leg raise
Kneel on a mat, then kick your left leg out straight to your left side and lean on the right hand and knee. Level your torso with the ground, keeping your right knee lined up under your hip and your right hand lined up on the ground above your head. Lower your left legs as high as you can, then lower it with an inch from the ground. Complete a set repetition on one side then to the other.
The Fun Way
Whether you set a goal to in shape for the summer, or you have a new years revolution, many of us find ourselves throwing in the towel, or calling it quits. This is because we're not seeing the results we want, unrealistic goals, or broken the momentum of the routine and figured there no point in continuing, or we just simply got bored. If we found enjoyment in your workouts we'd see them to the end. When toning your thighs try to make it fun.
Swimming is like a resistance exercise. Its an excellent way to develop long, sleek and firm muscles. Different strokes work different parts of the body, and they all use your legs for propulsion. The proper kicking motion works your entire leg. Swimming improves the strength and appearance of your thighs. It helps firm your thigh reducing cellulite.
Horseback riding may not seem like an engaging activity, an hour of horseback riding is equivalent to at least 30 minutes of jogging. Thighs along with the calves to hang on the horse and to see cues to the horse. It will make your thighs stronger without adding any bulk. The abductor muscles of the inner thigh work the most.
Yoga isn't as easy you think it is; it challenges your body to perform poses while at the same time maintain a calm state of mind. It consist of poses that will work and challenge you thighs. By doing yoga consistently will help you tone and sculpt you thighs.
A relaxing way
It is said that the right massaging technique helps to increase blood flow, removing toxins and reducing excessive amounts of fluid that contains cellulite. A massage will also help target trouble area that seem impossible to work though exercise.
As you can see there are plenty of ways to get you thighs in shape; which ever you choose to do is up to you, just know that its going to take time.
