Carrying a Piece of each Other in Our Hearts

Brothers and Sisters

A beautiful quote by Lee Palmer:

"What shall I bestow upon a friend? Fleeting moments of silent blessings; trust in tomorrow, which is life's hardest task; faith that each new dawn brings daylight's golden pathway to the ever-open door; and a belief that God will be with them though all others go their way."

This video reminds me of my daily hour commute to and from work each way, as it depicts someone driving down the Interstate and the sights, which are pretty close to what I see every morning and evening. I have actually come to enjoy the lovely thoughts that fill my mind with His glory and His glorious creation, along the highway of life. Please travel along with me . . . it takes a minute or two for the video to actually "get on the road." Actually, my real drive into the city is so much more beautiful with the rolling verdant hills and beautiful lakes, ponds and river shimmering in the glorious sunlight. Plus, taking a short cut through the county roads to get to the interstate, I always see something beautiful.

U2 ~ Beautiful Day

Getting over that Big Mountain Top

Many times in this adventure here called life, we face that huge mountain that attempts to block the path we so choose to move along. However, when we have our brothers and sisters in this big world, which is really not that big considering the vastness of the unending universe, they can come alongside of us to help carry our burdens.

We know that He is always there, but He will also place people right in our paths and lives to help us along this pathway. We need each other. We need that human connection ~ that touch, whether it is through prayer or just taking time out to listen to another.

If you have no idea how you can help another, then prayer is always the most powerful act of love for another that one can give, even if that person is not aware you are praying for him or her. Your prayers matter.

You will be amazed (at least I was) at the following true story of a beautiful redheaded model, who made a choice to carry the burdens of another. You may already know to whom I am referring and of the man she helped by carrying his burdens, as this man was "famous and had it all," in the eyes of the worldview.

Out of Grace We Reach out to one Another

Before we get to the beautiful redheaded model, I would like to just share some of my personal thoughts here today, of what I have experienced on this pathway of life.

(However, you can, of course, skip on down to the beautiful redheaded model if you so desire - see the video, as it is most powerful ~ all the way to the end.)

Sometimes in this world, when we reach out our hands in love to someone, it can be a beautiful thing. It may be someone who is in obvious distress, and who needs someone to help carry him or her over that huge mountain top. Maybe it's someone who just needs a warm place to sleep and some food to eat or water to drink.

Then there are times, when very tragic events occur in one's life, i.e., tornadoes have destroyed a whole town, lives are lost and families have nowhere to live. There are countless of these huge mountain top scenarios.

When we have that strong faith, we can move those great mountains out of our way, and continue on our path as He reveals it to us. He is always there to help us.

Sometimes carrying the burdens of another, just may be as simple as listening without interrupting.

Other times, He, the LORD, will reveal something in someone so deep to you, that you know you are to reach out to that person in grace, not really knowing why you are called to do so, but it may be something as simple as recognizing some kind of hurt in his or her eyes.

Yet, at other times, when we really do not understand why, there is that strong need in our own hearts to maybe just make another one laugh a little bit to bring a smile to his or her face, or speak kindness into his or her heart.

Still at other times, the very words he or she is speaking, i.e., maybe always joking around, but then when you are truly listening, you realize he or she is doing that to hide a hurt that has been done to that person long ago.

And, yes, even those who are the hardest to love, those who come back with snide remarks or use their mouths to speak harshness towards others, those are the ones He, the LORD, will reveal to us who have been hurt the most.

No matter how hard it may be, we are to show them even more grace than all others. As it is these who have never truly been loved by another. They may not even understand what true love is, that agape love. So their heart is hardened, and when we show them mercy and grace, genuinely, even if never reciprocated, just maybe that hardened shell around their heart will begin to crack a little.

In Proverbs 15:1, God tells us,

"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh words stirs up anger."

When we do this, we glorify our LORD. We should not do all this good towards others with the mindset that, "Well, God, I did this and that, so I know You should give me this or that."

When He is truly sealed into our hearts, those types of thoughts are far away as to any worldly treasures. He tells us that we are to store up for ourselves treasures in heaven, not on earth, where thieves break in and steal, where moths destroy or rust ruins.

We can all make an eternal difference while we are still here on this planet, as this planet is passing away. It is temporal, and not our true home.

We do not have to wait for the right time to go on a mission trip to reflect God's love towards others. We can carry their burdens by praying for them, as it is those who we may stumble upon in our daily lives, we are meant to stumble upon for a reason.

I know a lot of times in the mornings when arriving at the building in which I work, a certain person will enter into the elevator and I can just see something about his or her demeanor or in his or her eyes, a certain sadness or something there. Anyway, it is just a nice thing to connect with people in all areas of our lives, even if it is just giving that person a nice smile, and saying to them,"Have a lovely day." May sound silly, but if you are genuinely sincere, then take the time out of one second of your life and do this simple act of kindness.

Something to be mindful of, however, (as I have done this so many times myself) where we, ourselves, get into trouble, is when we place another person high up on a pedestal, therefore, destined for disappointment, as that person is merely another human being. That person will sooner or later fall off that pedestal that we have lifted him or her so high upon. When we do this, we are not helping this person at all. Also, in doing such, we are not helping ourselves, nor glorifying God, but simply another person. This is just something that I have learned the hard way on this pathway called life.

This does not mean we are not to encourage others, no doubt, as we are to encourage each other as part of carrying their burdens, just make sure we are not making them our God.

We should be the hands and feet of our Lord while we are still here on this planet, as that is why we are still here, This is just something I really believe, for what other very profound reason are we still here? If not, He would have taken us on before now.

I thank you for your patience in reading some of my thoughts here.

Vogue ~ Wanda, the Beautiful Redheaded Model ~ God Loves All

If you'd rather go ahead and see the beautiful redheaded model, just scroll down and watch the video, as it is most powerful.

One Sunday, a powerful video was played about the testimony of a once great celebrity stylist who was in high demand with Vogue to do the hair of the most beautiful models in the world. You may have already figured out to whom I am referring . . .

A beautiful redheaded model saw this man, who made over $3,000 a day, and he worked every day, while working with Vogue. He was on top of that mountain peak, so he thought. She just saw something in him that troubled her, and told him that he was in trouble, and she would pray for him. Then . . . listen to this powerful testimony in his very own words of how this beautiful red headed model carried his burdens, without him truly being aware of it at the time.

This person went from earning $3,000 a day, but then he began spiraling down and ended up homeless on the streets of New York. This video is so powerful and so very worth your time, trust me on this one!

All because a beautiful redheaded model reached out to him, stepping out in faith, knowing our God heals, Danny lived to tell us about his life experiences. His words of his story are more powerful than what I could ever write here. Please watch and see the love shown and its powerful results through Christ.

Please remember he is speaking his very own words about his true life experiences.

Danny Velasco's Powerful Testimony ~ This Girl, Wanda, Is Nuts!

In Galations 6:2, God tells us:

"We are to carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ."

The following video is, of course, about carrying each other, and not really about a one-on-one personal relationship. I interpret this song to mean that we are to carry each other's burdens as one, although we may be different------- all belonging to the human race. We should leave all that past junk behind where we have harmed each other with respect to the fact that we may be different than one another, even though we are really the same --- just humans.

Carry each Other

I could not even imagine living one day on this planet without my personal and intimate relationship with our LORD.

Interesting Tidbit (maybe)

Back in the day, when I was just 19, I saw U2 in concert in Tampa, Florida, and they were actually the warm-up band to the J. Geils Band (you know, "My Baby is a Centerfold") Ugg! LOL, what a bad combination there!!! Although U2 was not even known, I really loved them when they came on stage, and God bless them, the crowd at the Tampa Bay Arena actually booed them, and Bono got so mad that he smashed his guitar on stage and, well, had some choice words for the audience, which I do not blame him one bit. I felt so bad for them back then, but, hey, payback time now no doubt!!! LOL Love You U2

What a great story of empathy and compassion for another human being. This is a story for all to hear.....there are so many out there who need our help....and how do we know who we can help if we never try? If we never try! It is our responsibility...each one of us...and I will never understand how anyone could turn their back on someone in need.

      I'm ranting...I'm sorry.

Wonderful job my friend. Peace and love to you today and always.

oh man, I wish I had my earphones right now so I could watch the videos =( grrrr...

But knowing you and just from what I've read so far, I know it's good stuff. How right you are that we really need each other and sometimes the simplest little gesture of kindness can make a huge difference for somebody who's hurting.

As I was reading I thought of one of my favorite passages in Isaiah...

"The Lord God has given Me the tongue of disciples, that I may know how to sustain the weary one with a word. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to listen as a disciple. The Lord God has opened My ear; and I was not disobedient nor did I turn back."

Faith, thanks for being who you are and "not turning back".

Now, I'm off to Target to get some more ear buds so I can enjoy the vids. Ah'll be BOCK!

What a beautiful story of God's saving grace. I can only imagine what the red headed model must be thinking right now - she was very instrumental in bringing a lost soul to the Lord. When I watch the video and see Danny singing, tears of joy stream down my face. This is a very moving story. And... that girl brought on stage in the U2 video will be sharing that moment for the rest of her life. What an amazing experience. Thank you, Faith for sharing yourself, this story, and the music of U2 with us.

Oh, by the way, I really enjoyed sharing a seat on your ride to work.

Faith, this is wonderful and motivating. We all need strong hands to help us along now and again. I'm not what you would call religious, but I get goose bumps when I read the poem, 'foot prints in the sand.' I do believe that angels come in many guises, even as a red headed model. My best to you.

      Hi Marlene,

I am so very happy to see you stopping by for a visit here! Yes, the tears do flow freely just knowing how God never gives up on us, no matter how far down that deep dark pit we can get ourselves into. And the power of prayer, well, there you go. Amen. I hope that all who visit here will just at least listen to his powerful story in his own words, as my words just could never compare to his very powerful testimony. And that is how it is, we have our own testimonies to share and we all should do so.

Thank you for riding to work with me this day, although, I am actually at home for health reasons, but doing okay.

Bless you dear one for watching all those videos!!! You know that sweet young girl in the U2 video was just blown away, just by the expression on her face, so lovely and sweet, especially when he gave her a kiss, so gentle.

God bless you dear one. I appreciate you so much, as always.

      Hi Jo,

So lovely to see you here today. I do love that poem," Footprints In The Sand," too. Yes, angels do come in many guises, as you have stated, and she sure was one, combined with the power of prayer. It is amazing to see someone go that far down into that dark pit and now is truly set free! His grace is amazing to me.

I appreciate you and your wonderful comments.

Hi my lovely Sister in Christ, gottabegod,

I am so happy to see you stopping by to read here. I know what you mean, as ever since that Sunday, the LORD has just kept me thinking and thinking of this awesome testimony of God's saving grace through prayer, and that no matter how far down that deep dark pit one may go, and Danny went down to the very bottom, there is always hope in our God to never give up and always be in pursuit of us, as His love is far more than anything our little minds can conceive of, no doubt about that fact! It also shows just how very powerful prayer is, even when the person really does not know of such praying going on. If we all would just step out in faith, as this red headed model did and pray, along with all her other prayer warriors, many lost souls would be pulled out of that deep dark pit.

Danny's words are so much more powerful than anything I could ever write, as it is his testimony, just as we each have our own testimonies too, where we can only tell ourselves, better than anyone else.

Yes, I just happened upon that video and thought I would just throw that in there too, of my daily commute - Ha.

I love you too, and I am so grateful that you are that beautiful model in God's image who prays for me and so many others. I am feeling okay at the moment, but not up to par. However, I know my faith in God will pull me through this attack on my body.

God bless you dear Sister. In His Love, Faith Reaper

      Hi thelyricwriter,

I am always so blessed when you stop by for a visit dear one. You are too kind with your lovely words here.

As far as my perspective, I truly believe is it just what God has revealed to me through the Lord. I really do. I am not an expert on any subject matter, and I just try my best to follow my heart in this life, which can be so very dark and brutal for way too many.

As the message of Danny's powerful testimony indicates, there is no one on this planet who has gone too far in His eyes, for His healing, grace and mercy to show up just at the precise moment, when one calls out to Him.

If hearing Danny's powerful testimony helps just one person on this planet, then that is all that matters. All of us each have our own testimonies too, and we should not have any fear in telling of such matters, as one will never know how many will be blessed by sharing one's own testimony.

Thank you so much for the vote up and especially for the share, as I pray, if nothing else, that the video is watched, and it blesses many, but if only one, then that is enough too.

God bless you. In His Love, Faith Reaper

      Hello Dearest Frank,

I am always so blessed by your visit dear one. I am so glad that I made the point of saying it is a "true" story, as I believe He revealed that to me to mention that fact, and that is exactly why Danny's testimony is so very powerful indeed.

Or, as in this instance, when I saw this video at church one Sunday, it just blew me away too, and I could not get it out of my mind just how powerful it is. To God be the glory.

      Hi teaches,

I am always so blessed by your visits. Thank you so much for leaving such lovely comments here. Danny's testimony is so powerful in and of itself, and what I write pales in comparison and really does not even add a thing to his powerful testimony of God's grace. I pray that all will at least watch Danny's video, if nothing else. That is my main focus with writing this hub. I appreciate the vote up and share.

God Bless you richly too dear one. In His Love, Faith Reaper

      Dear Faith,

I was spellbound by this video of the miracle of God's love and belief in us. This is one of the most inspirational videos I have seen.

The integration of U-2 made this even more spiritually enriching.

Beautiful work. Voted UP & UABI. Hugs, Maria

      Hi Maria,

So good to see you stopping by. Yes, Danny's testimony is most powerful indeed, and that particular video is what I prayed that everyone would watch all the way through to its end. It may be just a tad bit obvious what my intentions are here ----to attempt to direct all who read or those who really do not care to read, to just skip on down to "The beautiful red headed model," and Danny's testimony video. I will continue to pray that particular video is really what ALL, who come to read, focus on here.

I appreciate your lovely comments to glorify our God.

God bless you. In His Love, Faith Reaper

Oh, Faith! I just watched the video and what an incredible inspiring testimony! Unbelievable that someone who did not give up on him was used by God to bring him to Himself. Also watched the U2 video...but to see how God can change a person the way He did Danny...

THANK YOU for sharing this and I hope it inspires many, many hubbers to watch the video with the excellent testimony of Danny Velasco.

One question, the video flashed the red headed girl standing with Danny at the end??? Did they get married? Just wondering.

Also I pray daily for you, your family and your health.

      Hi Mary,

So wonderful to see you here! I am just breezing in from my long drive home, and now I see this most lovely comment from you dear one. Thank you so much. I really appreciate those words, as I give Him all the glory. My given name means "reaper" or "harvester" and so that is how I came up with "Reaper," and then I just threw in the "Faith" part as I am growing in my faith daily. I have so many stories to tell, of what I call my "Boasting in the Lord" stories, as He has healed me and walked me through so many trials and tribulations in my life, that I really did not need to write about another one's testimony. However, when I saw this one that Sunday, I just could not get it out of my mind that it needed to be shared everywhere. The Lord healed me of DCIS Breast Cancer just last year, just like that, He did it, and I have written about it hear, plus many other times where He showed up in a women's prison ministry in which I was serving. So, I really do so appreciate your kind words here and the share. In His Love, Faith Reaper

I waited until I had time to fully study and grasp the message of this powerful hub. To carry our friends and foes is an incredible undertaking. I believe praying on a hillside to God from a mulitude of people together really sends a power to the person being prayed for. This exact prayer of many people on a hillside cured my grandmother of a severed spine from TB and in the morning after the multitude of praying for her, She spent 6 months bedridden in pain she got up that next morning and walked two miles home to care for her family that missed her so much. I remember my Nanna had a huge bump in the middle of her back where she said the Lord healed her. It felt so hot she said when she was healed. My Mom was only a small girl when this happened and my Nanna lived to be 86 years old. Dying only six months after her husband died. They were married for 66 years. Thank you Faith Reaper for reminding me of the miracles of our Lord. I had forgotten this story and your Hub remeinded me how powerful love for each other and our Lord can be.

      Hi suzzycue,

I am so very happy to see you stopping by to read dear one!!! Wow, thank you so much for sharing your powerful stories here to glorfiy our God, which add significantly to this hub. He is always so faithful. Prayer is the one true gift of love we can give each other, when we pray without any shadow of a doubt knowing He can heal and He does. My mother will be 84 in December, and she was married to my dad until he died, which was long ago in 1989. She never remarried. Yes, love is very powerful, that true agape love from above, His love. We should share it with each other daily no matter come what may. This world can be so brutal and if each of us would just take a moment out of each day to love another, then maybe it will be a much nicer place. We know that this is not our true home, and so we must do what we must do while we are here for this very short time.

God Bless. In His Love, Faith Reaper

      Hello James,

So very nice to see you stopping by to leave such lovely comments. I do not see you as being a coward at all. It does take a little getting used to - praying in public. One time I believe the Lord sent an angel to give me a little push to pray, as I had been convicted already for a whole week to pray for a coworker, and finally stepped out in faith, as was a witness to the prayer being answered that same day of healing by our Lord God.

I understand about the scoffers, but you can handle them, as you a son of the King!

Hello my friend Faith, Your heart of compassion and love is so beautifully uncovered through this hub. You mention loving the unlovely because they have never truly known love. This is so true and as Jesus loved us and died for us while we were yet in our sins, so ought we to love one another.

The video of the red headed model caused me to weep with JOY. Danny Velasco is God's trophy child. Sinking deep in sin far from the peaceful shore Jesus rescued Danny! Thank you Jesus!

Appreciate the impact of this hub on my heart. Joy bells are ringing inside.

      Dearest Mekenzie,

You have brought a smile to not only my face, but better than that, His face, as your words have added to this hub to glorify Him. Yes, when we love the unlovely, is when Christ shines through so brilliantly. There is a celebration going on in Heaven right now with all the angels singing.

You have caught His eye, as I am sure you do each and every day of your life.

It may have been just a bit obvious that my greatest desire here was that all would watch that video of Danny Velasco, God's trophy! I love his smile at the end. It is a powerful testimony of God's grace, mercy and love when we just call on the name of the Lord.

Thank you so much dear one for such lovely words spoken here from your kind heart.

I remember my buddy started talking to a random guy walking down the street in a town by mine and the guy was pretty mad about it but I thought it was pretty awesome that he had the guts to do it :) My small town is run by religion though, we only have 1000 people that live here and like 15 churches lol :)

I will stay nice and warm. I pray you stay warm this Winter in Indiana - Ha. So cute. Yes, rejection of others is most likley. I do not push it on anybody, I just tell what He has done for me in my life, and I am not here to convert anyone to Christianity ----and don't get me started on all that "reglion" stuff. People do not seem to understand the difference between religion and christianity, it seems. I understand about small towns, as I live in one, but it is great. We moved from the city in which I still work about four years ago to a very small town an hour away. It was a transition, but after living in the city for so long, and all that crime, even in broad daylight is too much. We have just a little bit more than that as far as population. God bless. What an amazing Hub! I wanted to reiterate something you say here that is of utmost important: "We know that He is always there, but He will also place people right in our paths and lives to help us along this pathway." I certainly believe that whole-heartedly!

Yesterday I was listening to a Christian station that I get on the computer. It's called K-Love Radio. A woman said she had been through divorce and was contemplating suicide. She had nothing left. She was about to be homeless with her children. But she just felt like if she didn't go through with the suicide, and waited one more day, maybe something would turn around. She couldn't explain it. The next day she got a phone call. A stranger had a free car for her. The church supplied her a house. So, I truly believe that God places people in our lives at the right time to accomplish His purposes for the good.

It reminds me of the verse about not forgetting to entertain strangers...

      Dear Crafty,

I appreciate you sharing that powerful story here with us all. Yes, He does place people right in our paths in His perfect timing. His ways are not our ways, and thank goodness for that fact!

Yes, I know many times that angels have been placed directly in my path for sure, and I am always mindful of that scripture you stated here

I received a blessing this day by your visit and I am glad you dug around and found this hub to read.

We are all strangers here finding our way. It is always good to reach out with a kind and helping hand as everyone needs help and understanding sometimes. No one is so perfect that they should look down on anyone else. If we have more tolerance, mercy, and forgiveness, and work together, more of us will reach the mountain top. Thank you for sharing your beautiful thoughts.

Au fait, thank you so much for leaving such beautifully expressed comments here. I appreciate you digging this one up, especially being I have not been able to be on HP much this summer to publish. You have a beautiful heart and that is special. I am sorry for the late comment back. Blessings always

That is an absolutely beautiful and inspiring article! I enjoyed the video and the song as well - I hadn't heard the song before but it's been added to my playlist :) Just so very nice, I'm almost at a loss for words - there's so much more to it than I was expecting. Well written. God bless you, FaithReaper.

      Dearest Faith;

What a wonderful, forthright and moving testimony by Danny Velasco on your video and what a courageous and truly beautiful woman model Wanda surely is, learning to trust in her faith and change lives for God's glory to rebuild the broken; couldn't see any nuts, only fruit here :)

You're spot on about Bono - I bet that crowd of yesterday are eating humble pie today; you're so fortunate to have seen U2 in their early days before they became meteoric.

Always a pleasure to read the carefully chosen thoughts, quotes and bible passages you care to share with us and the simplicity of your examples are a shining light to all and cut through all of the esoteric dross which can sometimes cloud aforesaid simplicity.

Another fantastic Hub from you, tailored by a loving hand and proud to share everywhere.

      With Warmest Regards;

      R.Q.

      Hello Dearest Romeos!

Thank you for always showing up and leaving most generous comments and being so kind. Well, in other words, just being your normal awesome self : )

Hee hee I love that about "only fruit" ...

That is for sure about that crowd eating humble pie, and I think they just did not match up the bands appropriately.

My main mission here, obviously, is to get all to watch the video of Danny. All the rest may be a bit blah, blah, blah LOL

Thank you again, especially that last line there, well, second to the last line. You are such a kind and gentle gentleman.

      Blessings always

The story you wrote was wonderful and shows the love and grace of God. The video was great and the testimony to God was so real and inspiring for all to hear. Danny gave so much with his story. Thanks, God Bless and keep you, Stella
