Intolerance to food

Intolerance of food is an adverse reaction of our body towards certain food that often occurs every time that particular food is consumed by us, particularly if it is eaten in large quantities the intolerance is revealed faster .
If someone eats/drink certain food that they are intolerant to and could make them feel sick or affect their health for long-term .It should be avoided or you take pain to make your body accustomed to it with your sincere effort.
It basically doesn’t involve our immune system and is generally not even life-threatening. Neither happen to cause food poisoning, which is often caused by the toxic substances that would show symptoms in anyone who ate that food. Food intolerance doesn't include psychological reactions too.It's just that the enzymes in your body are not readily reacting with that particular food for metabolism .Instead it is discarding it, which is shown in a way of intolerance .lets discuss as to what is the cause of intolerance of food :-

Food is broken down by the enzymes present in our body, at first it is minced well with saliva in our mouth which breaks it down to the simpler substances then it reaches through our food pipe into our stomach and again mixed with enzymes, here is when intolerance to the certain food is reflected, (before it goes into the intestine) sometimes in a form of vomiting sometimes in the form of nausea and sometimes in a form of rashes onto our body , proteins produced are needed for the complete digestion process of the food. Lack or inadequate amount of enzymes in our system causes some of the food (if not all) to remain in larger components and is unable to be absorbed into the blood stream from the small intestine. This undigested food exerts osmotic effects in the intestine drawing liquid of our body and salts into the gut which then moves quickly towards the large intestines. This increased level of liquid and salts in our colon supports the bacteria that naturally is situated in our larger intestine to ferment undigested food particles into acids, Carbon Dioxide , Methane , Hydrogen and Hydrogen Sulphide (the odour that ejects with flatulence). Hydrogen is one of the gases that cause bloating in our body, its minor expelling through the walls of the intestine into the bloodstream and expelling through the lungs cause bad breath when we breathe.

For example, one of the most common types of intolerance seen is the intolerance to cow's milk, which has a sugar called lactose (lactose intolerance). Most people have a shortage of an enzyme called lactase, which is produced by the cells lining of the small intestine. In absence of this enzyme , milk sugar can not be broken into simpler forms that can be absorbed into the bloodstream easily causing allergy reaction.we should never give up instead we should start with a spoon of milk which may be increased slowly so that our body starts adjusting to that food gradually and ultimately our body readily accept it .this is commonly seen in children they do not want to drink milk ,if they are forced to drink they end up by start with a small dose and increase gradually.and also change the time of that food .
Few mothers came to me complaining that their children vomit after drinking milk ,I suggested them to make your child drink milk without sugar and before they brush their teeth ,amazingly it worked and gradually they started drinking may replace the milk with goat's milk or soy milk if still the condition persists.

sometimes it is noticed that Alcohol breaking enzyme aldehyde dehydrogenase can be another cause of food intolerance consuming even small amounts of alcohol can make a person feel unwell and uneasy,often people are seen vomiting after consuming alcohol.have curd to get rid of that vomiting after having alcohol.

Sometimes there are a strong genetic reasons to food in tolerances.
Newborns are born with extra lactase,thus it is seen that lactose intolerance usually only begins after the age of two, as the body begins to produce less of this lactase enzyme. However,most people do not experience symptoms until they're much older and gradually are loosing body's strength. A lactase deficiency may follow gastroenteritis, especially in children.


Food in tolerances are not really harmful to our body but they cause unpleasant symptoms and makes you feel sick, including nausea, bloating, abdominal pain and diarrhea, which begin about half an hour after eating or drinking that particular food .

The severity of the allergy often varies on the amount of enzyme that person's body makes and how much of the food has been consumed by that person who became sick. In case of alcohol intolerance, there may be intense flushing of the skin, nausea, palpitations, headache are noticed.

The easiest test for a food intolerance is to remove that particular food from your daily diet, see if symptoms improves and latter try reintroducing the food that was amiss, If symptoms on re introducing that food shows intolerance again then the removal becomes permanent other wise gradually introducing that food in small amount helps and your body starts taking it again.
Intolerance for lactose can be tested through a lactose tolerance test, a hydrogen breath test and a stool acidity test.
Note:-People who suffer from food intolerance may suffer from weight loss and malnutrition if he or she is kept ignored.

Symptoms may vary from person to person.They may kick start within 15 to 20 minutes but they may also initiate after an hour.
The severity of the symptoms may varies on the amount of lactose each individual can tolerate. Some of the symptoms may be confused with those of milk allergy which can cause the body to react quicker, more often within a few minutes. If you are not sure compare the symptoms of lactose intolerance with those of milk allergy in your body

Even gram or gram flour are certain people so we have to eye our own body and check what is good and what is bad for our body to feed
