Inspirational quotes from mom
As I get a little older each moment and I reflect on my relationship with my mother I can’t help to think that (even when I don’t want to admit to it), she was right a bout a few things, like; everything happens for a reason, when one door closes another opens, time heals and there are more fish in the sea. At the time when my heart was breaking at sixteen, I didn’t want to hear that I would love someone else, when I vowed to love that one guy for the rest of my life. My mother would tell me she went through the same heart aches, but I couldn’t imagine my mother crying over a girlish crush. But now, I am fully aware that if she didn’t experience the pain of losing a first love then she wouldn’t be able to tell me that I would be okay.
When I moved away from home I found myself calling my mother for more advise on how to cook a turkey, why I couldn’t do whites and colors in the same laundry (I have a few pink shirts now), and the big one was when I was breaking up with someone, I knew she’d always be on the other end telling me that I was special and that the guy was losing out on the most special person he’d ever meet. Even if I didn’t like that she was right, it felt and still feels good to have that one bond with my mother that I can complain to her about everything but her, many relationships with mothers is a compromise and I wanted to share some quotes from a calendar that my mother gives me each for Christmas to remind that I am still her little girl. The quotes are not just for daughters, they are for everyone, to remind us that we were once little girls and little boys to our parents, and still are.
