If you have an irregular heartbeat, there's a new treatment available that may help you!

Atrial fibrillation: Irregular Heartbeat: New Treatment!

About 2.2 million people suffer from irregular heartbeat (atrial fibrillation)*--and about 15%-20% of those who have it will suffer from strokes. So says the "American Heart Association".

The chances of developing this condition increases with age and current drugs and electric shock therapy don't always work. But now there's a new treatment that uses radio wave heat therapy that proves successful in 74% of the cases of chronic irregular heartbeat!

The study was published in the New England Journal of Medicine.

*Atrial fibrillation (irregular heartbeat) occurs when the heart beats abnormally in its upper two chambers.

The treatment uses radio wave heat therapy to solve the problem of irregular heartbeat.

Irregular Heartbeat: How the Treatment Works...

Doctors call the procedure catheter ablation, in which a catheter is guided through a blood vessel to the heart. High-frequency radio waves are then used to burn away heart tissue that's causing the problem.

There was a similar procedure that was approved but only for those who suffered from irregular heartbeat occasionally--and for those where medication was not effective.

The new treatment is more targeted and approved for those with chronic atrial fibrillation. And as i said, is successful in 74% of the cases studied.
