Is Fasting for Losing Extra Body Weight? Yes or No

Updated on August 8, 2015

Fasting has been done for generations now. Although some people indeed lose weight much faster this is not a healthy practice at all. Not only will you be able to lose but you will also be much more prone to getting issues that you would not otherwise. People have fasting as a way to lose weight however it should not be practiced because it is not healthy at all. For example fasting consist of not eating anything for days. You would only drink and that is that. Although this might seem like a good solution it is not because after you stop fasting you will probably gain all of the weight you managed to lose in a couple weeks because your body will be so deprived of all nutrients that you will feel like eating all you can within a short period of time. This will only have you gain weight all over again.

Understand A Few More Things Regarding Fasting and Its Techniques

There are different plans that are called fasting. In some people simply just have drinks such as water and juice. In others people are allowed to have something solid every once in a while, however what they should take most of the time are just liquids nonetheless. This will annihilate any chances of your body getting the nutrients that it needs on a daily basis and will also have your body use what fat it has stored really? No.

When your body sees that you do not have what to it you will only have the body save as much fat and resources that it can! If you do say yes for such practice make sure you expect a huge turn around on your body, mind and also in those who are around you.

Is Fasting Truly That Dangerous?

Fasting is only dangerous when you do it out of religious purposes (religious people only practice fasting for 1 or 2 days at the most). Fasting is only dangerous for those who would like to lose weight by doing so because not only would they cut all of the chances that their bodies have to get nutrients but it would also make the body weaken and feel bad.

Take a look at some of the most dangerous and serious risks that come whenever someone tries fasting for weight purposes.

- The body will become weak

- Your kidneys may fail

- Electrolyte will not be balanced

- Weaker hair

- Anorexia issues

- Heart issues

And these were only a few of the issues. You also burn calories more slowly when you're fasting since fasting slow the metabolism. If you want to lose weight the thing that you do not want to do is slow your metabolism. Your metabolism plays the key role in your weight and fat loss process. The initial weight lost on a fast is just pure body fluid and not fat.

Don't get fooled. If you really want to lose weight fast and quickly there are other much effective ways of losing weight.
