Is there a secret to quitting drinking alcohol? The answer is, YES there is a secret, you just simply don't drink and you have broke the secret wide open.

Everyone thinks that there are certain secrets to quitting drinking alcohol and believe me there is nothing that will help you quit drinking, but your own self. You are the only one that will make you stop drinking.

No one in the world can make you stop drinking alcohol, but you. If you are not ready to change your life and live life with sobriety then nothing will help.

Yes, Alcohol Rehab. Centers will indeed get you on the right track and will help with you surrendering to your addiction, but if you don't have your heart and soul into getting and staying sober than you are wasting your time and everyone else's time.

Rehab. and Treatment centers are wonderful, but you need to want it so bad that you are willing to do anything to make your life the way it should be, and that is living life sober.

Is It Time to Change Your Habits and Life ?

I think everyone that has an addiction to alcohol, including myself, thinks that quitting drinking is an impossible thing to do. What is the secret that people have that have stopped drinking alcohol?

Like I said, the secret is just not drink at all if you can't handle alcohol or don't know when you have had enough. If you are one of those that can not say, "I have had enough" and call it the night after a few drinks, then you have a alcohol problem that should be attended to.

Many people can have one or two drinks and be perfectly content, and then there are those that never have enough. They drink till they can't stand or until all the alcohol is done.

I have said this many times in my hubs and articles I write. I loved drinking, but I never was satisfied until I got the buzz I was out for. I could never have one or two drinks and walk away. I needed more and more to feed my inner demons that haunted me for a good part of my life.

None of you have to be haunted by the alcohol demons like I did and millions of other around the world. Be strong and say NO I have had enough.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against drinking alcohol if it is drank responsibly and not abused. A social drink now and then is perfect, but just don't get carried away and make a bad habit out of drinking. Believe me, if you are not careful the addiction will take over your life like it has for me and millions of others.

@ Deborah- Thank you so much for your comment and I am so happy your friend has found sobriety! That is so wonderful. This is why I write about my experience with drinking alcohol. To hopefully help others not only understand that their life is not over, but to let them know there is always hope for sobriety if you truly want it in your life.

God Bless you Deborah and thank you!

Hello Peter, the trick is not to give up. I knew a guy that went to rehab 37 times, and finally became sober. He is now a prominent psychologist on the east coast and frequently talks about his days "in the life." Never give up, never stop trying.
