Read on and take a look around before you find the real answer to the question, "Is life worth living or not?"
1) Live for your best friend
If you don't realize the importance of having a best friend yet, wait a few more years and look back at the happy moments you spent with your buddy. The memories will not only bring a smile to you face but will also make every minute of life worth living.
2) Live for your family
Family in this context, is your first blood family including your parents, brothers and sisters. No matter how low you fall, your family or at least one of your family members will always bail you out. Whether it is moral support, financial help or just a few words of wisdom, family members are meant to watch each other's backs and the bond that you share with them makes like worth living.
3) Live to travel
Ask any seasoned traveler "What do you like about travelling?" and chances are that he/she will be unable to give you a short and crisp answer in one line. Why? Because there are so many lovely elements attached to the act of going from place to place, that the feeling is hard to describe. A traveler's mind, body and soul for a mesmerizing roller coaster ride the very minute he/she reaches the airport. There's so much more in the world to see. Cultures, countries, traditions, exotic locations and much more – The world is bigger and more exotic than you ever imagined. Live to travel, or shall we say, travel to live?
4) Live for your talent and passion
Is life worth living? Yes, because your talents and passion deserve to bloom. Ask any guitarist in his/her forties "Would you re-live your life without knowing how to play the guitar?" The answer will probably be the biggest No that you've heard. Why? The reason is quite simple. You steal a man's money, you can break a man's heart, but you can't steal his talent. Talent is the in-born or cultivated ability that you as an individual are passionate about and have nurtured since a long time. Talent and passion make life worth living and if you haven't found yours yet, go looking for that spark that will light the fire within you.
5) Live for love of your girlfriend, boyfriend or partner
No amount of money, power or fame can buy the love of a caring girlfriend, boyfriend or partner. While cold hard cash can buy attraction, it can't buy true love. And whoever said love happens once, obviously didn't fall in love the second time around. Love as a feeling and as an emotion is limitless and is stronger than life itself. So is life worth living? Definitely yes, because the slightest of love triumphs over all hatred that makes way into your life.
6) Live to try new things
You think you've done everything there is to do? Really? Ask someone who has just retired "How's life treating you after retirement?" and they will probably tell you "I'm loving it. I'm doing things that I've never done before" You'd think that a 60 year old fella would've been there and done that, wouldn't you? But that's the magic which makes life worth living.
7) Live to meet new people
Do you think you've met your share of people in life? Absolutely wrong. So how long before you finish meeting your share of people in life? The answer is, never. You never ever finish meeting new people in life until the day you breathe your last. While everyone you meet may not be a saint and people may take you for granted, but that shouldn't put you down. Every now and then, someone new will come along who will change your life forever. And you will only realize the importance of that special someone after you've moved on. It can be anyone – from a loving best friend to an inspirational boss, and from your roommate in college to a lover who is wild in bed.
8) Live to chase the unknown
You don't know what is going to happen in your life tomorrow, do you? You can only control, what you can control. All the elements of life that are beyond your control take you by surprise and more often than not, hit you with a big bang. Sometimes this bang is good, sometimes it is bad. It is all a part of beautiful game called life. Like they say, you win some and you lose some. If you think you are on a losing streak right now, think about how blissful life will be when you are on a winning streak. Although you don't know when that streak will come, be rest assured, it will come. After all, life is all about chasing the unknown.
9) Live for hope
If Andy Dufresne can tunnel out of his prison with a 7 inch rock hammer by digging meticulously bit by bit for 27 years, surely you can survive whatever rough patch you've been going through in your life. So, is life worth living? Hell yes. Why? Let's answer that by what good old Andy Dufresne told his pal Red as they were looking at spending most of their lives in Prison "Remember Red, hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies." Note: Life isn't perfect and it would be wrong to simply assume that each and every one of us has all or at least some of the things mentioned below. But even if you have just one of them to look forward to in your life, that's more than enough reason for you to look forward to the light at the end of the tunnel.
