What is panic anxiety stress disorder?

Panic anxiety stress disorder is a condition, where people fear crowded places. It's symptoms can be terrifying, for the afflicted person. Symptoms include:

fear, terror

heart rate increases

feeling tired, no energy

feelings of despair

tingling sensations in hands ,fingers

feeling you have lost control of your life

pains in the chest

have trouble breathing

feeling suicidal

fear of death

tremors in arms and chest

There are roughly three million people who will suffer severe panic anxiety disorder in the country.. People that suffer from the severest panic anxiety stress disorder, eventually often stop leaving their homes, for fear of having one of these severe panic attacks in public. They often avoid crowded places, such as malls ,restraunts. They rarely have these attacks at home.So instead of dealing the paralyzing terror. the stay home. These attacks are very the afflicted person. They usually last around ten minutes. To the afflicted person it seems like forever, after an attack they tends to want to go home.To their safe zone.People who don't suffer from panic anxiety stress, disorder, have trouble understanding the person suffering from this disorder.

Here are some actions that can be taken to help with these disorders.

We have treatments, to help the patients with this disorder. Such as:

anxiety medications

seeing a psychiatrist

These treatments help the patient, stay calm. There really is no cure for panic anxiety stress order. It can be treated, with medications to make these attacks bearable. Talking to a psychiatrist is really a good way to help the disorder.

I know this so well, because I suffer from it. I'm Agoraphobic. (the fear of leaving ones home) panic anxiety stress disorder is also a condition that usually occurs with this disorder. It is also more often seen in women, rather than men.

If you suffer from any of these symptoms, please seek medical help. Thanks to the treatment I receive daily. I am now able to go to the doctors, vacations, things like that. There was a time when leaving my home was something I couldn't bring myself to do. I can't be in a grocery store without shaking and my heart wells up in my throat, my heart races. I have a heart defect and some of the symptoms mimic a heart attack. So with me, a heart attack can be very real and scary and stressful. Scary because its hard to tell if its a panic attack. This is a very real affliction.I know people have trouble understanding the terror that comes with this disorder.I hope by my writing this its helped someone and get help, and help someone understand someone else who is living with these conditions.

Thank you for sharing how real panic attacks are and the damage they produce. I had agoraphobia for 7 years, and overcame it, but still have panic attacks, just have learned to cope better. Thank you for an enlightning hub, and teaching those that are unaware of how serious they can be.

I appreciate you opening up, Rusti, and sharing your experience with panic stress disorder with us so openly. I too am on multiple medications for panic attacks and anxiety. Mental illness is a very real disease that afflicts so many of us, but so few are willing to open up and talk about it. I am glad you too are getting the help you need, and I hope that this article is able to help someone else. It is very true that unless you have experienced panic attacks for yourself, you cannot understand them. I've tried to explain it to others as feeling as if you are dying, or for them to remember the time they were most scared and multiply that tenfold! I wish you peace and health on your journey, and thank you again for your willingness to share with us.

It must be awful to have panic disorder. Life is stressful enough as it is without this added to it. Good luck with it.
