Longevity Now is a Must-Read for Anyone Interested in Health and Diet
Why Read Longevity Now?
My interest in food as a medicine grew after I started experimenting with my own diet a few years ago. I had a typical American diet of pizza, fast-food, tons of meat and mostly processed food items. I began transitioning to a more whole foods diet and almost immediately felt better all around. As I continued to eat more fruits and veggies, I started reading about diet and health. I've never considered myself to be an unhealthy person, but I was shocked to learn what goes into our food! I began reading a number books on nutrition and that's I discovered Longevity Now. Wolfe goes into so much detail about almost everything you could ever want to know about the inner working of nutrition in the human body in his book. I now use the book as a reference book when I stumble across a new food or herb that I haven't heard of before. Even though I do not subscribe 100% to his ideal diet, I do utilize a lot of the information in this book. Also, if I find myself slipping into a junk-food rut, picking up this book and reading just a few pages is more than enough motivation to get myself right back on track.
