Make a first aid kit

In this ever changing world we live in the unexpected can happen at any time. A person or family should always be prepared.In this blog and others I will be preparing you on how to be ready.Lets start with a first aid kit,you can make one up yourself or you can buy one,here are the things that should be in the kit. There should be one in the house and one for each car

Sterile adhesive bandages in assorted size

2-inch sterile gauze pads (4-6)

4-inch sterile gauze pads (4-6)

Hypoallergenic adhesive tape

Triangular bandages (3)

2-inch sterile roller bandages (3)

3-inch sterile roller bandages (3)




Moistened towelettes



Tonque blades (2)

Tube of petroleum jelly or other lubricant

Assorted sizes of safety pins

Cleansing agent/soap

Latex gloves (2 pair)


Non-prescription drugs

Aspirin or nonaspirin pain reliever

Anti-diarrhea medication

Antacid (for stomach upset)

Syrup of Ipecac(use to induce vomiting if advised by the Poison Control Center


Activated charcoal(use if advised by the Poison Control Center
