Medical Marijuana Discrimination
Medical Marijuana descrimination
There is discrimination against Mj patients
Medical Marijuana patients are being discriminated badly. This article is to expose the injustice discrimination against mmj patients. Our state voted in the Mmj law. The people spoke. The government should accept the laws of each state as long as residency can be established. If the patient has the conditions that qualify them for it. After it is established that you qualify, you are given a card to get the medical marijuana..The fact is the patient should be legal right? NO they aren't protected in the state of Oregon. To get your medication, patients must pay $120.00 - $100.00 if they recieve food stamps. The federal government is going to try to take away people's food stamps. If they are Mmj patients. If they manage to do this, lots of children could go hungry because they lost their food stamps. The people voted it in the Mmj law, it should be respected by our government.
They don't respect the voters rights. If something passes they don't like, they make it hard to recieve. For example the assited suicide law. In that case, the government actually overturned the law themselves. Then the voters were so angry the public then pressured them to honor the voters rights. It's the same with the Mmj law. They are everyday making it harder to get. They still look at it as a "street drug". Not a medication. They aren't respecting MY right to have it.
They lose alot of money due to the mj law
If they looked at it as a medication they would be helping many people. I agree a patient must qualify. To Have the documentation, stating you suffer from one or more of the symptoms. If a doctor prescribes Mj they will lose their medical liscense they worked hard for. They can prescribe vicodine, morphine ,methadone, hydromorphone ,percosets among many others. These medication kill one hundred thousand of Americans alone.Patients cannot overdode, they do not make you hallucinate, these are untrue.
Pharmaceutical companies also dr.s in some cases get kick backs for prescribing these narcotics. They all make alot of money from these narcotics.there are so many overdoses, near overdoses, addiction, death. It should be a law that's respected. Not every person that uses Mj is also strung out. It only takes a few days to quit the craving, narcotics you crave them so much you will commit crimes to get them. People asking for them, buying and selling them. stealing them from patients. All of these actions will get you incarcerated.
The government is not respecting the voters
People are also trying to be honest. If patients can use Mmj ,the pharmacutical companies will take a huge hit. So many medications won't be prescribed, the loss of money. They make in the millions of these drugs, That's alot of money Alot more people won't overdose, commit crimes, face addictions to get it. They don't with Mmj.That's really the problem the gov cares about. Thier share of the of the narcotic drugs, naseau, chronic pain, those alone would cut the drug companies will all lose so much money. It would also save so many lives.
The federal government has tied our hands., It's legal state wise, but federally its still a federal offense.Meaning when a Mmj patient goes out of their state they cannot take that medication. If they do they ,mmj patients am could be facing federal prison time, if they try to take it with them. Patients cannot take it out of state. A Mj patient can go to another Mj state and use their card in their dispensaries, as long as that state honors the patients current Mj card. There are currently only 16 states that have legalized mj.Out of those states not all honor other states Mj cards.
This is a medicine, like a herbal remedy.
From the moment my the Dr. prescibes it to you, you are treated like a junkie. You have to see a special dr. Most won't prescribe it The Dr.s fear losing the liscenses. Then your regular Dr. randomly takes urine tests, treat you like you are dope head. In some cases, the Dr.s think you are violent. A Mj A patient can cut back on a load of narcotics and anxiety meds. trying to be honest.Immediately your pain medication is taken away . Some people are in so much pain they need the Mj and pain medication to stop naseau, eat anxiety it really helps, it calms you, you can't overdose, you can get some sleep, eat.
Dr.s appointments become all about Mj use, and pain meds. As soon as your Dr. finds out. they become consumed by it.Once your Dr. is told, they cease to adress the problems you are there for.You then have a urine test every 2 weeks randomly, you have 24 hours to report for a urine test or for a pill count. They make it hard for a patient for being honest. All of a sudden you get aids tests, std tests of all kinds.. However they treat the narcotics like it's nothing. Mj prescribed ,you are an instant drug addict. Hey you can have 300 narcotics though no problem..
It is a common myth that people hallucinate on marijauna. I ever met anyone that does Mj that has hallucinated.
The point is here, is it does help people. If a person has a prescription for it, then their other medical Dr. should legally have to accept it as medicine. not a street drugs. Alcohol and cigarettes are legal and people die from them .Yet, you can waltz right into any store and obtain these items.
Medical marijuana and voters rights
Not to mention It is a slap in the face to us voters. We voted on it, the majority spoke, fair and square. It should be honored by everyone, afterall this is suppossed to be America the home of the free, or is it really free and we are to blind to it? People should have a medication they need,an be protected anwhere if you have a card. The voters have to speak up. Once it's a federal law, you'll see alot more people apply for the card. People are scared and finding a Dr. to prescribe it for you is extremely hard. The point is ,they are trampling all over our right to vote in a law. If they don't like it they have the power to make it extremely hard to obtain. They think nothing of you eating huge amounts of prescription narcotics.
