My Personal Experience

When I was about ten year old, there was an epidemic of jaundice in my village, and I was also affected very badly. I remember my clothes were changed thrice a day because of the yellow pigment caused by the disease, and it was that severe. Many people had died during that time, and my parents were very much worried about me. My father took me to an ayurveda physician who administered the first dose of medicine to me - He plucked few Kizhar nelli plants from his courtyard, washed nicely, and ground it in a stone with very little water, then mixed in a glass of pure cow's milk and asked me to drink, on empty stomach. He advised my father to continue the treatment for few days for me, with strictly no oil, salt, spices diet.. Amazingly I was free from jaundice in a few days time.

Now the medicine is also available in the market in the form of capsules.
