My Amazing Health Regime for 2010

Updated on January 1, 2010

Today is the last day of 2009 and I have drawn up my Health plan for the New Year to make me healthier. Feel free to practice my tips, but don’t be upset if you don’t get the desired results, as what works for me might not work for you.

.

8 Simple Tips

Stairs - From now on I will no longer be taking the lift at work to the first floor. I have decided it’s time to take the stairs.

Sugar - Usually, I have three sugars in my tea. This will now be reduced to one and a half. Maybe in 2011, I could have it with no milk.

Choccy’s - Cut down on Chocolate. If I feel the need to have chocolate, I’ll visualise myself eating it and enjoying it. If this doesn’t work. Plan B is to have a hypnotising session to make me hate chocolate. This was a suggestion from one of the Hubbers – Artofmagick, after reading the question I posted.

Keeping Fit - Watch Keep-fit exercises. I’d like to emphasise that I will not be doing the exercise along with the person. I think just watching them do the exercise will help me keep fit and burn some calories. Hard for me to explain in this Hub. It’s a "science" thing.

Bedtime - Sleep a little earlier than midnight, so I wake up refreshed in the morning. Sometimes, I’m in HP Forums at night and keep on saying to myself “10 more minutes and I’ll log off”. After 10 minutes, again I say “10 more minutes” until one hour’s gone.

Spare Ribs

Takeaways - Cut down on my Favourite Chinese Takeaways. On Fridays, I normally buy 2 dishes at my Chinese restaurant. One is Special Fried Rice, the other Barbecue Spare Ribs. Mama mia! They taste so nice. Well now, I’ll just have Special Fried Rice and a big Spare Rib. Note the difference from Ribs to Rib. I think that’s a significant difference.

Treats - I must treat myself daily. Anything from the list below. After a long day at work, it’s always nice to have something to look forward to.

My list of Daily Treats

Oh, Nearly forgot. Wine - As it’s the New Year in a few hours. No more Lambrini. From now on it’s Red Wine. It has been proven to be healthy, sort of like a Tonic. Maybe, I’ll make it a daily dose. I might even write a Hub about the benefits of Red Wine, after I've had a few glasses.

So, there’s my Health Regime. Wish me luck.

Cheers Everyone – Happy New Year.
