My Aging Body.

Updated on June 24, 2011

My Aging Body.

My aging body seldom consulted with me.

My mind is sharp as the cuss, cuss grass

however, I often cried out "Oh my aching knee!.

My eyes see this world for what it is.

yet, I need to take about twenty antacid pills.

As I bend to wash my toes,

I am notice my long slender nose

My aging body seldom consulted with me,

Somehow, looking in the mirror, terrify (me) (:)

alternative medication, is this

the message my body is sending me?

Acupunture, homepathy, and osteopathy,

is this the treatment for me(:)

Lovely and Sexy,

Arthritics and glaucoma ,

my body is not corresponding to the aging process(:)

aches and pain,

and varicose veins,

My aging body wants to drive me insane

Am I going to let it? or rebels against this catastrophe(:)

I am so ambivalent to this forceful request.

I called upon the Goddess of love,

with a amiable approached

to stop shoving this aging, process down my throat.

and make amends, this is not a funny joke.

It is strange and hard to deal with (and accept!) that our bodies and our minds can be in such different places.

So many things I used to do effortlessly without a twinge anywhere, now it seems like most everything hurts a little and some joints and muscles hurt a lot. Very good poem...you captured it perfectly. SHARING

Awww Annie...the answer does lie in the Goddess of Love..

Where else can we escape our body's cacophony of aches, pains, and often, outright misery...in our lovers arms, close, eye to eye, laughing our asses of with close friends, or just watching our children grow and mature...

Here's to looking you in the eye one day, my dear friend...

      much love..hmmmm..

Hello, DarkandLovely. I'm 35 and already taking glucosimine condroite (spelling?) pills to slow down arthritis in my hands that is just beginning. It can't reverse things, but it can keep things from getting worse. Already, I'm feeling changes in the weather where a few years ago, I didn't.
