Dried figs

Numerous natural cures for piles

In this article I like to share with you my experience with one of the natural cures for piles. I shall not write in detailed about piles, because this article is all about natural cure for piles using dried figs, and not on the subject of piles. There are hundreds of supposedly effective cures for piles using natural ingredients. There are so many popular herbs, vegetables and fruits that are believed to be able to cure piles. You can just search through the internet and will be surprised to find so many of them such as onion, turnip, bitter gourd, radish, mango seed, tobacco leaf, ginger, rice, wheat grass, sesame seeds, banana, dried fig and what have you. I suppose not all are genuine cures, while some may be effective to some lucky ones. On the whole I think the chance of striking the “bull’s eye” is pretty remote. Still there is no harm trying out a few. So I chose the dried figs treatment. Before going into the dried fig treatment, let’s read a bit about what piles are.

What are piles

Piles are hemorrhoids that have become inflamed. Hemorrhoids are masses of tissues found in the anal canal. Actually, all of us have hemorrhoids but they do not bother us. It is only when they are inflamed or enlarged that we face problems. So piles are swollen hemorrhoids. Piles vary in size and may be internal or external. Internal means inside the anus, while external is outside the anus. The internal ones are more common. Piles are equally common to both sexes.

Internal hemorrhoids are classified into 4 grades :

  • Grade 1, only small inflammation inside the lining of the anus.
  • Grade 2, larger than Grade 1, still inside the anus. When passing stool they may get pushed out, but will retract inside the anus.
  • Grade 3, “prolapsed hemorrhoids” appear outside the anus but can be pushed inside the anus with the finger.
  • Grade 4, serious condition appearing outside the anus and cannot be pushed inside. This usually needs surgical treatment.

External hemorrhoids, also called perianal hematoma are lumps located outside the edge of the anus. These usually require surgical treatment.

Dried figs to cure piles

I have been game enough to try using natural remedies to cure some of my nagging health problems from time to time, although they are not life-threatening. This time I choose the dry figs treatment. This was what I did :

  • In the morning, wash and soak 3 dried figs in half a glass of water for a whole day.
  • In the evening, eat the dried figs and drink the water.
  • In the evening, again wash and soak overnight, 3 dried figs in half a glass of water.
  • In the morning, on waking up with empty stomach, eat the 3 figs and drink the water.
  • Repeat this routine for 3 to 4 weeks.

The tiny seeds of the fig are effective agents in stimulating peristaltic or involuntary movements in the intestines. This helps in the smooth passing of faeces and keeps the alimentary canal clean. Over time, the pressure on the anus will be reduced and the hemorrhoids will be relieved.

The outcome of my dried figs trial

Buy now, I have diligently tried the dried figs treatment for a period of over 3 weeks. Unfortunately, and this treatment has not produced me any positive results as far as my piles are concerned. Well, you win some and lose some in this game of trial and error. On a brighter note, I do enjoy the fruity taste of the figs and I think i have better control of my bowels after taking the figs. I think I will continue with this dried figs treatment, until I am bored with the figs.

Since this dried figs treatment is not showing positive result, why am I sharing this with my readers, you may rightly ask. As I have mentioned in many of my other articles, natural remedies may not necessarily mean that they must be 100% effective with everyone. Even proven medical treatments may not completely cure everyone. On this premise, although it didn’t work for me, this doesn’t mean that it will not work for you. Maybe you may benefit from my sharing and this dry figs treatment may cure your piles.

Please remember to share with us under the “comment” section below, if you are successful in this dry figs treatment.

Whatever the reasons, this article does not claim the information provided is totally accurate and reliable and will cure everyone. Hi GoodGuy,

Hope you are doing fine with your piles problem.
