New Year Resolutions

Updated on January 30, 2011

Your New year Word

Hi wonderful people!

The first month of 2011 is coming to an end and alot of people are trying to stay focused on not losing track of their new resolutions.

Well I have been on a weight loss journey for one month, this far I can say I need to push harder. I cannot quit. Alot of people may be faced with the same situation. We as humans tend to expect immediate results and when things do not happen in a certain way or at a certain time, we lose track of our vision, our dreams or our goals.

Not only am I determined to lose 60 pounds, but I am also determined to be a better person.

Thats it! My new years resolutions is to be a better person. Without making an endless list, I have learned that having a specific goal will help me to focus one main thing, which may in turn restore all the other areas.

So, what am i saying?

Do not make an endless list if you know you cannot follow through. Recently, I was listening to a christian radio station and the presenter was encouraging people to pick a word. At first I did not give much thought into the whole idea, but after a while, I kept thinking to myself " I want to Re-invent myself, I want to be re-newed, I want to be restored, I want to be better." As time went by, I realized this was my prayer. I know that was Gods way of giving me a word. My word for 2011 is REJUVENATE.

As you read this, think about your word for 2011. Let it be your daily reminder and your goal. It will keep you in check when in comes to achieving your goal. It is simple and you will be suprised at what one word can do!

I am ready for a new me! I am ready for change and I am out to get it.

Some one said, "People who get by in this life are people who go out and look for the opportunities they want, and if they do not find them, they create them."

I have searched for so long and finally, I feel like it is time for me to create the life I want. I have just recovered from a low season in my life and I have allowed God to be in control.

Taking one day at a time is key in achieving your goal! It is hard to let go of the past, but once you Let go and Let God, things begin working in ways you cannot explain. God will provide for you. Whether you are looking for a job, whether you are longing for love, whether you are praying for healing. God is in control.

Everyday, I challenge you to speak! Speak to God and let Him know your desires!

Everyday, I challenge you to speak! Speak forgiveness and let go of hurt and pain!

Everyday, I challenge you to speak! Speak love!....Let those you love know that you cherish them, and allow yourself to love and be loved!

Everyday, I challenge you to speak! Speak redemption from bondage! Remind yourself that the devil is a liar! He comes to steal your joy, he comes to tear you apart! Dont let him!

Everyday, I challenge you to speak! Speak healing and wellness! If you confess it to yourself, it will happen.

Everyday, I challenge you to speak! Speak change and then work on it!

Everyday, I challenge you pray! There is something about meeting God at that secret place and experiencing his Power.

"Commit all your plans to the Lord"

Think about what you want to accomplish this year and pick a word that will help you in a way that will branch out into reforming every aspect of your life!I wish you well in your journey!

As for me, I look forward to a year of restoration, healing and being REJUVENATED!

God bless you!
