Nike Training App Review

Updated on August 5, 2011

I cannot tell you how much I love this app. Let me give you MY side of the story.

This is a completely free app(while I'm writing this). You have a lot of choices. You can either choose to do just cardio, just toning or just some muscle building. There is also one option where you can do 15 minute workouts for people on a busy schedule. These consist of arms, butt, legs, abs and cardio exercises. When you click on whether you want to tone, do cardio or 15 minute workouts, you get a list of workouts with different names. Each workout has listed exactly which moves you do, and a picture by picture slide show on how to do them.

When you click on your workout, a robotic voice instructs you and helps you through all these exercises. I find this very motivating and comforting. If you don't know how to do a certain leg lift or hip lift, a very informative video teaches you how to.

Now these workouts are not easy, but they definitely make you fit. Whoever the maker of these workouts seemed to have put a lot of time and effort into making them. Even though they aren't, each workout seems that it is made for you, which is a very hard concept to achieve in electronics.

My favorite part about this app is the rewards. Every minute you workout, you get a point. After getting 60, 120, 200 and so on points you get a reward. A reward may be a recipe, or another workout by someone famous, or a famous trainer. At other times you may just get a badge for achieving that many minutes. This motivates me to get to my next badge, and it makes me want to keep going. The rewards are really nice, and are really worth it.

I really don't have many bad things to say about this app. I mean its free...and it gives you good quality workouts, what more can you ask from it? Even though I love it so much, I would have really liked to see a range of how many calories you burned. This would make me realize how much I have actually done.

I would give this app a 5 star rating all around. This app I would definitely recommend to people who are searching for a personal trainer on the go :) It is worth your money, and I LOVE IT!! Please comment below if you liked this app or not!
