I am a mother of 7 children and I hope my articles will help all parents deal with their children or expecting parents with questions.

Planned or Unplanned?

Many women have difficulty getting pregnant, but then, on the other hand, there are the women who can get pregnant at the mention of those words. I happen to be on of those who can easily get pregnant, even on birth control. I fall into that 1% that birth control does not always work on. Considering that I have had 7 children, I hope that my experience with each one will provide someone with tips on what to do if you suddenly find yourself pregnant.

First or Last

Having a child, whether it be your first or your seventh, can be a scary situation. A woman's body is truly amazing when it comes to creating another human being. There is no other feeling like it and it is really nothing short of a miracle. Our bodies can create life in a way nothing or no one else can.

I Just Found Out I am Pregnant.

Whether it's your first or your seventh child, there are still many different emotions you may be feeling. Thousands of questions will be running through your head and emotions will be flowing in many different directions.

The best thing you can do right now is to just relax, take a breath and think about all the questions you may have. Trust me when I tell you that no matter how many children you have, each time is different and you will have a whole new set of feelings. I have been pregnant 7 times and none of them were the same. Each one was different in many ways.

Which Question To Ask First?

Trust me when I tell you there will be a thousand questions running through your head when you find out you're pregnant. Many of them are pretty simple so relax take a deep breath and answer them one at a time. I have listed a few to maybe help give your ideas or help to answer some of them for you.

Am I ready for a baby?

This questions answer is ultimately your decision but there are many factors you may want to consider, especially if you were not planning on getting pregnant right now. Many women who get pregnant the first time are simply not ready to care for another human being. Children are a huge responsibility and should never be taken lightly. They will depend on you for the rest of their lives because although they think they are adults when they turn 18, they are never really ready for it.

What if I am not ready?

If you decide you are not ready for a baby there are many options you have to choose from. But make sure the decision you make is right for you, do not let someone force you into choosing an option that you may regret. You will find many agencies that will help answer whatever questions you have and show you all the different options there are available.

Adoption

This is a great option for many reasons. There are thousands of couples in the world that are unable to have children of their own. Adoption is the only option available to them to start their own families. Make sure to do lots of reason on all the different adoption agencies that are out there. Always do business with only the most reputable one that you can find. You want to make sure that your baby will be adopted by a family that will give them all the love and care they will need.

Start working with a reputable agency early in your pregnancy, that way when it is time everything is set up for the baby to be welcomed into their new home. This will make things easier on you also. It will allow you to have a little peace of mind knowing that your baby will be going straight into a loving family and not waiting in an orphanage to be adopted.

I Am Ready For This Now What To Do?

Congratulations !

You have decided that you are ready for the biggest challenge of your life.Being a mom is one of the hardest and most rewarding jobs you will ever have. There will be days when you think everything is going against you and nothing will ever work out but then there are the days when you would do it all over again.

Children are both frustrating and rewarding all at the same time. Trust me when I tell you there will be days when you really think you must have had a moment of insanity to ever think you were ready for this but you will also have many days when you wouldn't change one single moment of your life. That's being a mom.

First Things First

If you are going to be a single parent, try to find some parenting groups that can give you lots of advice on where to find help. Please believe me when I say, You will need help! Raising a child will take more than one person if the father is involved that would be your first place to look. If they want to be in their child's life, unfortunately not all father's are ready to have a child. So don't sweat it if he decides that being a dad is not for him, it will be his loss in the end. Enlist the help of family members, especially the ones that have or had children. They will understand the times you will be facing ahead and be more willing to help a single parent.

Creating Another Human Being

Let's Get Started

The first thing you should do is to start taking care of yourself. Not just health and eating habits, but mentally and physically also. Growing a whole new person inside you is going to be hard on you mentally and physically also. Your body will go through changes you never thought you could do. I mean, think about it, Your pushing something the size of a melon out of a hole the size of a golf ball... Do you know any man that could do that? I sure don't. Find yourself a very good doctor or midwife within the first trimester. This will help to ensure not only the baby is healthy and growing, but also that you are healthy. Ask your family and friends that have had children about their recommendations. Since they have

Midwife Or Doctor?

Find yourself a very good doctor or midwife within the first trimester. This will help to ensure not only the baby is healthy and growing, but also that you are healthy. Ask your family and friends that have had children about their recommendations. Since they have first-hand experience, they should give you some good places to start checking with. Always make sure you are comfortable with your doctor or midwife that you choose. This person is essentially going to be responsible for not only your life but also your baby's life. Do a very thorough research on all the ones that you are seriously considering checking into and don't be afraid to ask them any questions you may have.

Choosing the right doctor is extremely important so don't be hasty in your choice. Remember this is a very important time for you and your baby, so relax, take things one day at a time and get plenty of rest. Lord knows you will not get much in about 9 months.
