Why is America getting fat?
America is getting fat because America is also getting lazy. Technology allows us to be lazier then ever. Now is that is not to say that there were not fat people 100 and more years ago? No there were fat people then to but it was less common. Am I to judge these people? absolutely not! I just think it is sad. Americans have so many excuses for getting unhealthy and way overweight. Such as I don't have time, I cant afford a gym membership, eating healthy is to expensive, there is many more but I think you get the idea. If you think about it many Americans are getting stupid! You don't need a gym membership to workout. Eating healthy is actually not expensive if you do it right. Another reason America is getting fat is because FAST FOOD. Why cant people just stay away from it? I work 2 jobs and I am in college full time. I have not yet needed to go to a fast food restaurant and I will never. Why? because I plan ahead. How many of you go to buffets? I do. But it does not need to be an eating contest. You might say well its smart to because you get more for your money and that is correct but it is not needed. I read a story once about a 100+ year old holocaust survivor and he was asked how have you lived so long? and why do you eat so little? His answer was perfect! I eat to live and not live to eat. If you take the US population, How many people do you think exercise? I don't know the numbers and that's because there really is none but I would think not very many. So many people talk about how there is no time for that. Well I hate to break it to you but there actually is! But I get up at 5:00 AM to go to work and I need my sleep. So get up at 4:30 AM and go on a quick run or do some yoga or something to get the blood flowing for the day. Its not hard! If you don't think obesity is a problem then you are part of the problem! I will forever fight my hardest to get America back to how it should be. Lean and mean. One of the biggest problems Americans have is that they are way to weak. They are worried about hurting people feelings and they don't like getting their feelings hurt. Well toughen up! This is life take it seriously! you have one life so make the most of it!
What are the long term effects of obesity?
There are many long term health risks from obesity like diabetes, stroke, heart attack, sleep apnea, cancer, and many more!
Obesity can cause a stoke because being obese can lead to build up of plaque in your arteries and eventually an area will rupture and a blood clot will form. That could cause a block of blood flow to your brain which could result in a stroke.
Sleep apnea cause be a result of obesity because the fat around your neck can make your airways smaller and what does that cause? Your right! A hard time breathing!
Obesity is a problem
Start exercising! weather you are obese or not, exercise is one of the keys to a healthy life. Please for the sake of our future America EXERCISE!! Exercise is whatever you make of it! It can be the best thing ever! Or the worst. You can choose. If you are planning to lose weight remember it wont happen over night. The 7 day work out programs that say you will lose 10 pounds the first week are crap! Set a big goal to lose 100 pounds in a year and then break it down to a smaller goal every month and every week. Work hard and achieve greatness.
Is Obesity really a problem?
Nearly 40% of adults between the ages 40 to 59 are obese.
22 states have a adult obesity rate of 30 percent or higher.
Obesity is a problem. If you know someone who is obese help them in every way possible because if you don't they may be gone to soon from a problem that is not all that hard to fix.
