How to Replace Lies With Truth in Your Body and Energy Field: Developing Body Instructions
Treat Yourself Graciously
What Are Body Instructions?
Body instructions are a way to develop fine-tuned communication between your mind and body. In this article, we will focus on how to develop and increase this communication, and offer some ways to troubleshoot resistance in your body, emotions, and mind.
No More Running
Many of us are used to running from tough situations, and anything that adds to our sense of brokenness or pain. If you are ready to stop running and start healing, then this article is for you.
For More Information
Please see the end of this article for information on previous parts in this series, our qualifications, and an explanation of our approach to vision boarding.
Often our minds and bodies have separate understandings of concepts. Relationships, functionality, and wellness are areas in which misunderstandings commonly occur. The reason for this is that our intellects and our body memories are not the same. They are mismatched. This occurs when our bodies are conditioned by our childhood caretakers to think a certain way.
For example, if we were punished in a retaliatory way for speaking our minds (punished either verbally or physically), our bodies learn that communicating our thoughts and feelings is unsafe, and must be avoided. In order to do this, our mouths, necks, and jaws may become tight, making speech difficult. Our lungs may mismanage oxygen flow, giving us lung conditions and poor oxygenation in our blood flow. Problems may develop in our heads, backs, hips, feet, and stomach, due to anxiety and an extreme form of self-control. Digestive issues, bronchitis, allergies, inflammation, and a vast number of other problems may result from our caretaker's conditioning.
We often attribute these pains to growing older, when in fact they are emotional holding patterns.

Conscious vs. Body Beliefs
Speaking the Truth in Love
Acknowledge that both your head and heart are wrong. They are speaking lies. These lies live in your cells and energy field, and must be released and replaced before you can move on. You must replace them with truths before your life can change in these areas.
Our bodies are sickened by having these lies forced on them. Our bodies know the difference between lies and the truth, but will do their best to adjust to our thinking patterns, especially our subconscious thoughts.
Be Your Own Best Advocate
Our innermost template for who we are and what we are capable of can actually change when we change our heart's thoughts. This is what we are trying to accomplish when we embrace vision boarding, both through image assimilation and affirmations.
Science has proven that our body's hardwiring isn't as "hard" as once thought. Scientists also know that each cell holds memories, thought processes, and expectations in its structures. When our thoughts change, our bodies change, and vice versa. Neither is a static organism stuck where others or even birth circumstances have put us.
Once our energy field or bodies begin to change through thought reformations, destructive energies and thoughts can be trained to consistently leave our minds, hearts, and energy fields. In other words, we can recondition ourselves to live in a healed state.
If we are persistent enough in understanding and reforming our thoughts, we can train our bodies and energy fields not to let in or accept destructive energies at all. When this happens, our bodies are freer to concentrate in healing longterm illnesses and deep-seated problems and lies.
Communicating to Change Your DNA Encoding
A word may mean one thing to us intellectually, and another entirely in our hearts.
For example, the word "health" is vague and may carry connotations to our head or heart that cause it to be destructive, rather than empowering. "Wellness" may be a better fit.
For me, "health" in the sense of true wellness meant something unattainable, and therefore caused an opposite reaction. If a word or its connotations makes you nervous, seek a different one.
Body Attitude Ideals
Practice Finding Lies
In order to practice revealing truth to yourself, begin by figuring out just one heart lie or pattern containing untruth. Common lies may include:
I am stupid.
I am ugly.
I deserve to die.
Nobody loves me.
I am worthless.
Nobody likes me.
I am unlovable.
I can't learn to do better.
This is my life.
Each time we think one of these, or any other thought, we reinforce its pattern in our energy field.
Making Positive Statements
Now, before we go further, we must establish the possibility that each of the above statements may be a lie (and probably is). In order to have lies, we must have opposing truths. So let's flip these statements around, and start with some positive assumptions about our worth. According to both common sense and the scriptures, it stands to reason that if we exist, we have value. The creator doesn't make junk. So here we go:
I am made in the image of an intelligent Creator, who endowed me with natural gifts.
I was created to have a beautiful heart, soul, and spirit.
I was created for life and love.
I am eternally loved.
I have great inherent value as a divinely created being, whose entire life story is known to my Designer.
I was designed with likeable and unique traits, and am deserving of recognition.
Nothing can stop my Creator's love for me.
I was created with the capacity to learn and grow.
If I know my Creator heart-to-heart, my life is hid in Christ, and eternally good things are prepared for me. Christ invites me to work alongside Him.
See? Though these are beautiful, in your head, you may be resisting some of these truths, because your whole energy field has been conditioned to believe the lies.
What we're going to do now is explore techniques for releasing untruths, and embracing wholeness, so that your mind and body can be filled with truth.
Highly Favored Indeed
Words to which your heart may have hidden definitions may include:
__________ [your personal favorite]
We will offer personal definitions for each of these words, so you can see how the concept works. These definitions reflect what we had been conditioned to think--not necessarily what was true. Your definitions and mine are likely to be different.
- Negativity=Speaking against anyone else's strongly held beliefs or perceptions.
Health=the ability to keep on performing tasks of drudgery without breaking down physically or emotionally. The ability to contain despair, not allowing it to affect physical performance. Keeping up on all the jobs and roles in my life while making it look easy.
Good=acceptable to others' egos.
True=whatever works out consistently. Any pattern which seems strong, or undeniable. Things said by a person who shows indications of consistent confidence or persistence.
Fat=larger than our body's pre-pregnancy proportions of 36", 24", 36". Visibly padded by fat or flab.
Ugly=Physically imperfect, scarred; sexually unattractive. Unable to compete socially with others' confidence, poise, or apparent lack of anxiety.
Stupid=unable to perform to other people's expectations, whether in math, construction jobs, or motherhood. Unable to understand instructions or respond instantly to demands.
Unreal=untouchable by hands, reason. An inability to conceptualize how a thing could be made true. Anything God didn't explicitly say.
Unlovable=lacking skills needed to boost or satisfy others.
Let's break each of these definitions down into one more step. Let's pick out the flaws in each argument. Doing so will help us train our minds to recognize untruths.
- Negativity=Speaking against anyone else's strongly held beliefs or perceptions.
Whoa. If this is negativity, then anyone who ever spoke against anyone in authority was a jerk and automatically wrong. This goes for wives and husbands who disagree with each other's viewpoints or approaches, the signers of the American Declaration of Independence, and Christ.
- Health=the ability to keep on performing tasks of drudgery without breaking down physically or emotionally. The ability to contain despair, not allowing it to affect physical performance. Keeping up on all the jobs and roles in my life while making it look easy to outsiders and my children.
Again, whoa. This basically indicates that an ability to successfully lie or bluff your way through challenges is acceptable, as long as work gets done. Actually, lies are never acceptable.
- Good=acceptable to others' egos.
Stated another way, upsetting anyone for any reason is always 100% bad, and couldn't be worse. This means that others are automatically elevated to the status of gods, and that I have no rights and privileges as a human. My job is to make others happy, and keep them that way. No. Absolutely not true.
- True=whatever works out consistently. Any pattern which seems strong, or undeniable. Things said by a person who shows indications of consistent confidence or persistence.
In this scenario, anyone who can successfully lie or confidently gaslight another person wins, and their word becomes law.
- Fat=larger than our body's pre-pregnancy proportions of 36", 24", 36". Visibly padded by fat or flab.
This perception makes any body change due to motherhood, hormone imbalances, or stress unacceptable. So if I just sterilize myself and give up all my dreams of motherhood, I'll stay sexy, pretty, and acceptable. At least until, say, menopause. Uh, no. This perception is not only damaging, it's ridiculous, and allows for no changes whatever in life, circumstances, or boundaries.
- Ugly=Physically imperfect, scarred; sexually unattractive. Unable to compete socially with others' confidence, poise, or apparent lack of anxiety. Friendless.
Once again, if I just attain and maintain perfection, I'll be beautiful, datable, and acceptable to all the masses of people I see in passing who will never actually know me, or so much as think they'd care to.
- Stupid=unable to perform to other people's expectations, whether in math, construction jobs, motherhood, or anything else. Unable to understand instructions in some form, or respond to demands.
Once again, we see that if I just meet all the expectations of everyone in my life, I'll be fine. According to this, I am supposed to be a gushing well of competence, fit to meet the needs of everyone with whom I come in contact.
- Unreal=untouchable by hands or reason. Sometimes, an inability to conceptualize how a thing could be made true. Anything God didn't say or clearly indicate in the Scriptures.
So anything I personally can't touch or comprehend in its fullness is not real. In that case, the Himalayan mountains are out of the question, as is every person I've never hugged or at least seen from a distance. Also, twin girls are out, since God never mentioned them in the Bible.
- Unlovable=lacking skills needed to boost or satisfy others.
Here we are again--ego stroking. Sit down, and for God's sake, don't rock the boat! Never, ever, ever make anyone else uncomfortable, or challenge the powers that be. Authority is to be accepted without analyzation as to motive, maturity, or content. Be an automaton, and everything will be alright.
Ultimately, these thoughts say I have no right to my personhood, and must never, ever try to change that. Some people are made to be heard, and some aren't.
All in all, I was a narcissist's paradise before I learned to reformat my thoughts and see my motives.
Science of the Heart, by HeartMath Institute
Accessing these inner definitions may take time, but it will be time well invested. Understanding what your heart really thinks will allow you to discard and replace the negative perceptions. It is important that you write down your own definitions, in order to get them outside yourself. This will begin to clear your mind.
You may require any or all of the techniques outlined in this series to successfully overcome problems and begin rebuilding your life. It may take months or years. Try keeping a journal of your perceptions and progress. You can use it not only to help you clarify thoughts, but to encourage yourself when you feel stuck. It will help you see how far you've come, and that progress is not only possible, it is probable.
Each of us is building a track record with our daily habits and choices. Intentionally keeping a record of your positive changes and choices makes it easier to continue improving. Add photos of finished projects, or stages of projects, with Before and After comparisons. Take snapshots of financial improvements, home projects, physical achievements in your chosen sport or exercise, date nights, gifts, and anything else you think might encourage you during dark moments.
It's time to discuss some some ways that affirmations can help. (For techniques on developing your own effective affirmations, see Part 9, Creating Affirmations.)
Below are a few examples of affirmations I have developed to meet my needs:
I release all negative energy concerning________ [name of person or situation]
My bodies and beings always naturally work in perfect harmony with themselves, each other, and our original format. Clarity of purpose guides us ever into more Light. (See note below about Original Format.)
I always naturally breathe easily and deeply, and with harm to none, in all my bodies and beings. Light fills me 1,000%. (Light infiltrates and overflows me, overcoming physical weaknesses.)
I always naturally choose to receive calmness in my whole self. Calmness and I are bosom friends. ("Bosom friends" reminds me of Anne of Green Gables, so gives a deeply layered positive spin.)
I always naturally have ears to hear, a mind to comprehend, and a heart to understand! I can follow other people's perspectives, as well as understand God's viewpoint and teachings.)
I always naturally overflow with light and love.
Everything I do is always naturally for the highest good of everyone involved.
I am always naturally open to doing unfamiliar acts of Light and service.
Many of these affirmations were developed between two and three years ago, and were used to help reset my mind and body so that Light could enter and flow freely on a daily basis. Progress was slow, as we had many energy blockages and areas of resistance. Misunderstandings with my body systems had to be comprehended and overcome. I had to learn to not only listen to my body (and it to me), but we had to learn to trust each other to try our hardest to do and think right. We had to accept that we were designed to do good, and that chronic pain was not a part of our Original Format.
What Are You Choosing to Heal First?
About "My Bodies and Beings"
Your physical body is only one aspect of your existence. There are as many as fifteen energetic fields and bodies, each with their own purposes, which together make up you. These include our emotional and pain bodies, our soulish aspects, and our links to the Creator and each other.
Some of us have even more energy bodies, depending on the state of our souls in relation to trauma, and our level of compassion and connectedness. For these reasons, we state bodies and beings in the plural.
To get a wider perspective, let's examine a few affirmations which I designed that did not work. I refer to these as Dead Affirmations.
"It is always natural and fun for me to relax whenever I desire." I had developed no effective mental image of "relax" . . . so the whole statement fell flat.
"Clutter in my life always naturally reduces daily. I always repel clutter from my life and surroundings." Repel is an odious word, and made me feel anxious.
"I am perfectly healthy." I couldn't remember the last time I felt truly well, and was born with enough problems that my body had no starting point for "perfect/complete". Gradually we overcame this problem by developing Body Instructions, and understanding about Original Format.
"I am rich beyond belief." At the time I started using this affirmation, I had no clear image of what being without debt should feel like. I had never known anyone without the burden of debt, and most people I knew lived within a hair's breadth of losing their livelihoods and property. I still thought of cash in terms of a limited trade resource, not an unlimited universe resource made of energy. Taking a playful approach to money has helped. For example, does anyone ever get nervous handling monoploy money by the handful? Changing my viewpoint about what money symbolizes has been challenging, but worthwhile.
Gradually these problems were overcome through the use of:
- energy release techniques
- energy healing
- listening to and working to understand my body
- increasing my nutrition
- developing a concept of happiness.
If I can do these things, you can, too.
One thing I intuitively learned about affirmations is that, for many of us, they literally carry out of our lives the things that stand in opposition to our most intense ideals. But they do this very slowly. Let me explain.
We learn things in layers. Things go on in layers, and things come off in layers. This is a widely accepted viewpoint in therapy and conditioning.
Another way to think about this is that everything comes in units. Love comes in units. Grief comes in units. Light comes in units. Joy comes in units. Hatred comes in units.
When an event happens, and we are open to accept anything from it, the emotions of that event enter our lives. Depending on the magnitude of the event, at least one unit's worth of emotion is placed into us, which we then carry. Over time, these units build up. Each time we think of the event, another unit is deposited. If the energetic substance of the matter is negative (unhelpful), then we may develop hoards of unhelpful and destructive energy in our bodies.
Effective affirmations remove these hoards one unit at a time. This is why affirmations are generally slow-acting, and take much repetition.
We developed the concept of Body Instructions to make the process more efficient. For us, having DID means the slowness is compounded, even if alters work on their own affirmations Inwardly. Each time an alter thinks about an event, more layers go on and more units are hoarded, whether helpful or unhelpful.
There is only so much room in our bodies and lives. The tendency of healthy nature is to fill itself to the maximum level. Abundance is an inbuilt principal. But when we allow most of the room in ourselves to be taken by unhelpful energies, in whatever form, we find happiness and improvements difficult. Emptying some spaces and deliberately filling them with Light is necessary to true change.
Body Instructions, when practiced enough, can train your body to bulldoze unhelpful emotions and memories, so the process need no longer be tedious. Visualizations are very helpful for this, but for now, we're only going to focus on verbal aspects.
Align Thoughts and Desires
How to Begin
As at the beginning of the article when we explored negative perceptions, there must be an understanding that "bad" implies an opposing "good". This goodness is in the design the Creator first imagined for us. This is what we call Original Format.
Verbally tell your body it can and must access its original format to understand total wellness and wholeness. This means remembering the principles of existence prior to birth or even conception, when we were capable of connecting with Source with less effort and seeming clutter.
We have found the following to be effective words with which to summon these memories.
"To all my bodies and energy fields, I know that you remember what it was like to feel truly well under our original format. Please find ways to access and return to that format, so we achieve wellness, with truth in our inmost parts. Thank you for not stopping until every part of us is operating with clarity and absolute wellness, as we were intended to be."
You may add other ideas to this request as they occur to you.
You may speak to individual body parts, in order to draw attention to the need for improvement.
Example; "To all my bodies and energy fields, I know that you are capable of healing the injuries to my knees. You know this, too. Please access our Original Format to understand how to make healings and improvements, until our knees function without pain and with all the mobility they was designed to have. Thank you for not stopping until all of this is accomplished, and thank you for maintaining the healing."
Explain that all problems are temporary, and can and must be fixed. Fixed=reverting back to your original created format, which is based on love, light, connectedness, and truth.
Permission to Change
What you are really doing when you use Body Instructions is giving yourself verbal permission to be healthy. You are providing a sense of safety in which you can heal and overcome destructive conditioning. You are encouraging yourself on many unseen levels. This process of speaking health into yourself can be ongoing, and the process can be likened to computer updates to fix bugs or improve code. You can even add better features if your imagination carries that far.
Body Instructions can be used to address most any problem. Physical healing is only one of the many possibilities. You can use Instructions to change destructive patterns in your relationships, free yourself of unhealthy money habits (which are always fear related), improve spiritual practices, learn to set boundaries, and almost anything else you can think of.
In order to address an emotional or spiritual isdue, you can tweak the wording to suit the situation.
"To all my bodies and energy fields, I know that you remember what it was like to feel truly safe and joyous in the healthy relationships we experienced under our original format. Please find ways to access and return to that format, so we achieve wellness in our emotions and relationships, with truth in our inmost parts. Thank you for not stopping until every part of us is operating with clarity and absolute wellness, as we were intended to be."
You can design the wording to be as intricate, specific, and meaningful as you want. The main point is that you provide permission to yourself to remember and experience positive things that are part of your original design, and encouragement to embrace any changes that are necessary to achieve ultimate wellness. Doing so will not erase fear and hardships, but it will make it easier to work together in hope with your body and energy patterns.
Gratitude is part of Abundance. You cannot have one without the other. This is especially true spiritually and emotionally. Temporary riches or a semblance of health may be amassed through various means, but abundance of hope, truth, and light always are preceded and surrounded by gratitude. Gratitude is, if you will, the coin of the realm of possibility. It is therefore important to focus on gratitude when making requests:
"Thanks for fixing/improving/healing [name issue], and not stopping until the healing is complete." Play with the wording to suit your mindset and understanding, and listen to your body's responses to the phrases, metaphors, and images you use. Adjust your requests and input as needed, until gratitude becomes part of your daily response.
What Comes to Mind First?
The main idea of original format is that we were designed to live in the full scope of goodness, light, creativity, holiness, and gratitude . . . forever. This means that our bodies were designed to function in Light and wellness for their entire existence, by living in connection with Light Himself. When our bodies understand this, they are far more likely to pursue wellness with an intensity and persistence which will surprise you.
Gratitude Invites More
Metaphors as Clues
Metaphors in our thoughts can help us understand what our bodies need to get free of restrictions and release energy blockages. Metaphors are often direct clues to psychosomatic problems.
In our thoughts, we may have "bent over backwards to help someone" . . . resulting in back pain when they reacted without gratitude.
If we feel we are "carrying the weight of the world on our shoulders", our muscles are likely to be tight and painful in our shoulders and back, with possible roator cuff destruction.
If we are "bowed down by grief", our shouldees may be painfully rounded, straightening with difficulty, if at all.
If we feel "bound by indecision", this may result in tightness and stiffness anywhere or everywhere.
If we have felt "thrown aside", our ribs or spine may respond as if from a sudden wrenching movement.
If we feel "hit by a ton of bricks", our bones may be prone to cracking, we may experience breathlessness, or feel indications of elusive injuries throughout or bodies.
If we are "feeling broken", we may experience many types of bone problems, or our bodies may become unable to process nutrients, supply them to various body systems, or recognize pain as an indicator of stress, if at all. Our sensations and senses may become dulled. Our cells may not reproduce and maintain themselves effectively.
From 2016 to 2018, I experienced a religious crises. I felt for many reasons that being involved in organized religion was futile, and I came to despair of Sundays. Each Saturday night, I experienced a rosacea outbreak on my cheeks and jaws. Finally, I made a decision to stop going to church, and withdrew from any forms of religious ritual. Within a month, rosacea outbreaks had become rare and mild, and within three months, they had ceased completely. The metaphor connection?
As soon as I quit having to "face going to church", my body healed the rosacea. I have never had an outbreak since.
Your mind may give you updates about the state of your body, etc., in various ways. Some of these ways may be:
Verbally-mentally, as a voice in your head. Words and descriptions are likely to be precise, with an enthusiastic, helpful attitude. There may be questions after an instruction, such as, "Do you really think we can do that?" You may need to converse with your body about the timing of a beginning process, settings and parameters to include or be aware of, and other matters.
Metaphors, as discussed above.
Images. You may receive movies in your mind about the functioning of body structures and organs, possible outcomes of choices and processes, glitches in your body or thinking, or what healthy interactions can look like.
Off feelings. A feeling of mild depression, or feeling under the weather, may be an indicator of resistance, inability to understand an instruction, or bad timing for starting something new. Ask your body what is meant by the off feeling.
Intuitions. Developing a strong intuition is part of the process of learning to listen to your body. Many of us are born with strong and sensitive intuitions and tender consciences. Through misuse and gaslighting, we can weaken them, or at least our connection to them. But reconnection is possible and vital. For help in developing your intuition, explore the video below.
Dreams. Nighttime dreams can be encoded clues to our wellbeing and inner thoughts. Pay attention, and consider keeping a dream journal. Over time, you will begin to see patterns in the atmospheres and symbolism employed, and what it means when translated to waking life. Ask your mind and body to clarify or enhance your understanding of new or puzzling symbols and events. Most of all, keep in mind that dreams are a powerful peek into your heartcore or inner world. They can represent how you actually feel and think about things. Dark themes often mean you have weighty matters held inside which are ready to be addressed.
How to Spot Toxic People With Gut Instinct, by Michele Lee Nieves Coaching
How to Decode Dream Symbolism, by Radowl
Shifts in energy and body wellness may feel different to different people. Breaking through resistances can be exhausting, though satisfying. You may experience vivid dreams, or endure rollercoaster emotions, as your body processes hoarded energy and releases old patterns. This is okay. You may experience emotions related to childhood events, or anything you never processed before. This can be scary, but necessary. Without allowing yourself permission to stare into the eyes of previous destructive conditioning, and encourage your body to experience "forbidden" emotions, you cannot grow. It is necessary to visit some pain on your way to wellness. Allow it, embrace it, be thankful for it. Release it.
You can begin the release process by reminding your body verbally that it has permission and power to release anything that is unhelpful to your total wellness, and that you want it to. It will usually be happy to move on, even if it takes a few tries.
Emotions From Others
Another time, we will focus on using Body Instructions to deal with the effects other people can have on your mind, emotions, body, and wellbeing. You can use a combination of visualization and instructions to oust inappropriate emotions picked up from others, overcome their conditioning, and erase their imprint on your thought cycles.
A Typical Body Instruction Session for Me
Me: *thinking about a discomfort or problem.
Mind-body: "Oh, we can fix that right away!"
Me: "Please do so, and thank you for not stopping until it's fixed."
Mind-body: *immediately begins loosening muscles, adjusting joints, etc. to alleviate pain*
Topics Previously Covered in This Series
In Part 1, we explore why fear inhibits our ability to know what we really want, and act on it. Our thought loops often hold the key to realizing our deepest desires. Focusing on and owning these thought loops can allow us to move forward, first making the decision that fear will no longer own us.
In Part 2, we cover the basics of how to develop a vision board, whether in an electronic or physical format. We offer prompts and resources to help you decide what you truly want out of life.
In Part 3, we discuss the role of bio rhythms in setting intentions which yield pleasant fruit. When you pair your firm and detailed expectations with careful timing, cooperation from others and the Universe often results.
In Part 4, we pinpoint how to choose the perfect visuals and images for your needs, decode your personal color associations, and use past regrets and misunderstandings to help you go forward more wisely.
In part 5, we explore the decisions to be made while setting up an Intentions-by-the-Month system, using a Pinterest Board or other format of your choice. This system allows you to form a habit of setting intentions daily, or on whatever schedule you choose.
In Part 6, we walk through how to set up a long term life plan of 5 to 10 years, using either a vision board format, a mind map, or a combination of these two systems.
In Part 7, we acknowledge that manipulation and painful circumstances can make it difficult to know who you are and what you want, then present emotional and mental exercises to help you overcome the gaslighting or conditioning of others.
In Part 8, we show how becoming aware of your emotions is crucial to moving forward in your heart and life, and offer simple exercises to help you discern what you are feeling.
In Part 9, we offer tips and guidelines for creating affirmations that work for you. Developing your own personal affirmations can be a rewarding process, yielding insights into your own thoughts and motives.
Our Conditions and Qualifications
In case you missed our intro before, we are an autistic DID System who have spent years exploring how trauma affects our ability to live our best life and act on our deepest needs. We have no official diagnosis, and no legal qualifications to offer advice or training on mental health conditions. Conversely, we have a decade of experience managing our Dissociative Identity Disorder, as well as about four years working to understand our autism.
Our Approach to Vision Boarding
Because fear is such a huge roadblock to stability and satisfaction, we have chosen to approach the topic of vision board development by exploring how it can be used to assist in healing and changing trauma patterns. We specifically use it to overcome fear and other trauma responses.
