Pamper yourself moms
To all the moms out there, RELAX. Take a little break from time to time. You work hard either at home or at a job outside the home, but do you ever stop? I have learned that in order to show my family the love they deserve, I must also love myself. This means, time out every once in a while. Put down the responsibilities for a little "Me" time. That is right. All about me, myself, and i time. Don't even start to say that it is remotely selfish because it's not ladies.
If you are like me it is hard to stop thinking about all that you have to do, so i have some tips that have helped me and it could help you. First, get organized. That is right, I said the bad O word. This may be a bit challenging at first but let me tell you where to start. Start by making To-Do lists. When I say To-Do lists I do not mean write down a mile long page with one title. Let's say you have to clean every single day out of the week. Name your list Kitchen and write down every chore in the kitchen only. Then write a list for other areas. Don't combine all your items together because it's not an order.
Let's say you pick up the kids at 3 from school and you know you can't do anything from 2:40 until 3:20, then get a monthly calendar with time periods listed and mark that time specifically for that. Now, once you have all your To-Do lists together; start thinking about how long do you need for each task. Now, get your calendar and write down your To-Do list by title. Mark the appropriate times. Now, look to see what open times you have available. Schedule at least 2-3 hours a week just for "Me" time.
This time means there will be no interruptions at all. What can you do during the time you have all to yourself you may ask. Here are some ideas. Go to the movies with a friend, read a book, go get a pedicure or manicure, paint your own toes and nails, write poetry, paint a picture, draw something, crochet or make a craft. Go get a new hairstyle or a new outfit. If you don't have money at the moment, don't let that get you down. Go to the park, go to the library, or go to a friends house to hang out.
There are so many things you could do. If it's during the evening then you can light some candles just for you and take a nice, long bubble bath. If you like to stay fit then go to the gym or for a run. Exercise will make you feel amazing overall and will give you more energy. If you are a mom, then you need all the energy you can get to keep up with everything. You deserve time to yourself, so please moms....invest in yourself.
