Papaya the wonder fruit: Benefits of Papaya

Observations from some studies are known to have shown that the chemicals in raw papaya act as a contraceptive when consumed in the measure of more than two kilograms per week. But there is no clear scientific proof yet.
Sprout Salad With Papaya Dressing
- Boiled mixed sprouts – 3/4th cup
- Chopped apple – 1 cup
- Orange segments – 1 cup
- Lettuce – 1 cup
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Mix into a dressing – 3/4th cup papaya puree, 3/4th cup low fat curd, salt and pepper to taste.
- Refrigerate to chill.
- Just before serving, add the dressing to the salad and mix well.
Papaya and Mango Drink
- Small papaya – 1
- Small mango – 1
- Chop the papaya and mango into cubes
- Blend in a mixer and serve it over ice.
- Decorate with mint leaves.
- Small ripe mashed papaya – 1
- Suji – 4-5 tsps
- Milk – ½ cup
- Fresh cream – 1 tbsp
- Sugar – 1 cup
- Ghee – 2 tsp
- Almonds – 2-3
- Broken cashew nuts – 5-8
- Raisins – a few
- Cardamom powder – 1/4th tsp
- Heat ghee and fry almonds, cashew nuts and raisins.
- Add suji and keep frying, till it gives off an aroma.
- Add papaya and mix well.
- Add milk and cook on medium heat.
- Stir in sugar and cook for some time
- Remove from heat, add cream and cardamom.
- Serve hot or cold
