Ann, now that I'm retired I feel for those who still have to deal with the Monday blues. Like you commented, gratitude always seemed to help.

Yes taking on the attitude of gratitude for Mondays is a good idea. It seems it has to be 'mind over matter' when it comes to dealing with Mondays. The first day of the work-week is a day to start a new, and it's the lead day to get back earning money. I like the Eric Thomas quote "Thank God it's Monday!"

An encouraging Hub article full of encouragement, Ms Dora. The best way I've found, of dispensing with the Monday blues is to treat Sunday as the first day of the week, which, in truth, it actually is - a lot of Christians don't know this.

Have a peaceful evening and a great remainder of the week.

      Kind Regards,

      R.Q.

      Dear MsDora,

Thank you for these positive thoughts for Mondays. Mondays do seem to, for some reason, take their toll on our thoughts, when really it is just another day to praise the Lord about and thank Him for another breath to go out and do something for His glory. When my eyes first open each morning, even before I get out of bed, I praise the Lord and thank Him for another day.

Thank you for sharing these great tips and positive thoughts.

      Up and more and sharing

      God bless, Faith Reaper

Thanks for posting the inspirational quotes. I rarely take Monday off for no other reason than I don't want the weekend to end. In my mind, doing that makes Tuesday the same as Monday. Sooner or later you have to end the weekend and one day is just as good as another.

Great things to keep in mind, Ms. Dora. My two favorites: "Life is not simply holding a good hand. Life is playing a poor hand well," and "Monday is just a reminder that the weekend has past and there are only a few more days before another weekend gets here." All of them area great, but these two stood out for me. Thanks for this! Made my Monday a bit brighter!
