Positive thinking helps healing

Updated on February 22, 2013

Positive thinking can change your health

A positive outlook can help you heal

In the healing process there is a triad of health:-

Physical – like falls, trips and accidents

Chemical – include the things you eat, as well as the chemical things your body comes in contact with such as soaps, perfumes and paints

Emotional – thoughts and feelings may affect your healing rate.

Positive thinking can help you to heal faster. Thinking negatively may hinder your progress.

Chronic stress and worry has been attributed to everything from headaches and muscle spasm, to digestive disorders, fatigue and in some cases cancer.

To overcome these negative emotions you must first take control over the way you feel. You need to realise that you are in control and not a slave to your emotions. Your emotions do not control you, you control them. Take control of your reaction to events in your life. Forgive people that do ill towards you rather than becoming angry and letting them ruin your day. Negative emotions are very taxing on your body.

Try to take control by focusing on the good things in your life and try to maximise on those things. If you are positive and upbeat you will find that you will attract those things into your life.

Why not try to take a few minutes each morning to plan out your day in a positive way. Sure you will probably hit a few snags along the way. But think of a way to react to these things positively.

Why not try these suggestions:

· Start each day by being thankful for the things around you. Even the smallest things can make a big difference.

· Start the morning with some uplifting music or podcast

· Make a list of goals for the day

· Maintain a happy and positive outlook no matter what life throws at you today

· Turn setbacks into positives. Try to work out what you could learn from this setback.

At the end of each week, reflect on what you have learnt and how positive you have been. Continuous positivity will help you have a positive, productive, healthy life.
