Quit Drinking And Save Your Life

Updated on April 6, 2012

How much do you love yourself and your life? If you want to show yourself how much you love life and yourself than quit drinking and save your life.

I can not stress enough in my hubs and blogs how important sobriety is and living a clean and happy life. It has taken me many of years to find happiness and sobriety in my life and want to be able to tell many people that are addicted to alcohol, or on their way to being addicted, such as young teenagers before it is too late, that living the clean life is possible for every human being walking this earth.

My thoughts are, if we can catch those that are heading to a life of alcohol addiction early enough, it just may save many of lives, headaches, heartaches, health issues and possibly an early death.

If by chance you are addicted to alcohol now I can relate. To those that have thought about getting sober, but are afraid to make that huge change in their life. you have to at least try to get sober. I too was so afraid thinking to myself, how will my body and mind react with the absence of alcohol?

I then thought to myself, I am here on earth for one time only so why in the world would I or you be killing myself and yourself with this addiction to alcohol?

You should also think the very same way, because if you truly love yourself and want to live a happy, healthy and sober life you need to make a change real fast. Just put your powerful mind into action and take that first and most important step to quit drinking and head down that road to long term sobriety and recovery.

Alcoholics sometimes forget just how many people are on their side and they want to best possible life for you, but many of us are not giving our life a chance to see just how good it could be.

Everyone of us alcoholics really has to sit down (sober) and look at where our lives are heading. We might as well be living in hell simply because our addiction to alcohol sooner or later will make you feel that you are in fact living a life of hell.

Our demons, whether you want to believe it or not, will get each and everyone of us, one at a time and will sneak up on you ever so slowly until one day you will think your life has ended and there is no way out of the addiction you have. Only if we had stopped drinking and abusing alcohol we might of had a great life to look forward to, and instead we chose to listen to our inner demons that took complete control of our lives and we never saw it coming.

The next thing we knew is that we could not go one day without getting drunk and buzzed and drinking alcohol like there was no tomorrow. That is one hell of a life I had and many others have that are suffering from the same horrible addiction. It will indeed ruin everything in your life, believe me. You will lose everything you worked so hard for with a blink of an eye.

These demons and devils we have been carrying around with us for years don't give a crap about any of us. They are out for one reason and one reason only and that is to seek and destroy and in the end we will die from our own addiction that any of us could of prevented only if we had the willpower, the determination and the desire to get and stay sober years ago.

So in other words, if you want to live a long, happy and healthy life all of us need to quit drinking to save our life. If you are going to drink then do it responsible and abuse the alcohol.

If you are interested in knowing just how and why I started to drink alcohol and how I finally quit drinking then check out my new eBook titled My Life of Alcohol Addiction.

It's probably very easy to get addicted to alcohol. Maybe it's even worse to stop drinking before it's too late, if you are young when you start drinking. Great hub!

This is simple, useful and true. We do live only once. Giving oneself the change and having the courage to change makes the world of a difference. We're all on your side. People should wake up to the reality of addiction. Thank you.

You never know what might stick with someone. People need to feel like they are not alone and that they are understood.

I guess this is all we can do to help and then it is up to the person that has an addiction to move forward and change.

Great hub and so inspirational to all people! You are doing a great job keeping the dangers of this addiction in the public eye. I hope that many will listen and learn. Your new photo is a good profile of you -- the blue water view in the back is perfect for the "clean life" image! Voted up.
