There are a lot of stop smoking treatments and products available for the people who want to stop their dependence from this highly addicting and fatal habit. These treatments stem from western (traditional) and eastern (non traditional) medicine. Although none of them can guarantee that you will stop the habit these stop smoking treatments and products can in fact help wean you from the addiction.

This is one of the most popular treatments available in the market today, when you want to stop smoking or have already stopped but cannot yet kick the nicotine craving. Unlike ordinary chewing gums these specialized gums contain nicotine and it is released thru chewing.

The nicotine patch is another stop smoking aid that is based on the nicotine replacement therapy. These patches are impregnated with nicotine which you then stick to your skin. You can stick it anywhere on your body and is easily concealed under your clothing. The patch releases nicotine in small, timed doses which is just enough to deceive your brain that you are smoking but without the adverse effects or ingredients that are absorbed when smoking.

There are a lot of pills that can aid you in quitting the habit. One of the more popular brands in the market is called Zyban. This pill doesn’t contain any nicotine which would explain it popularity for the people who just don’t want to quit smoking but also want to remove their addiction to nicotine. It also has the effect of an anti depressant without being an anti depressant pill making it an all around aid in your combating smoking and nicotine addiction.

This is one of the most popular methods of stop smoking treatments because just one dose of this treatment will help you stop the habit. The active ingredient found in the medication essentially blocks the nicotine receptors in your brain which in turn causes your brain to dampen if not eradicate your desire to smoke.

If you prefer natural quit smoking treatments there are a lot of herbal products that will aid you in breaking the habit. There are pills and drops available that work on the same principle as many chemical pills. There are also teas that help reduce the smoking craving. Instead of lighting up just help yourself to a cup of herbal tea. There are also herbal cigarettes that look like the nicotine ones but without the harmful components such as nicotine and tar.

Before choosing which treatment to take, it is very important that you consult a health practitioner as they can always advise you on the best option and they can help in monitoring your journey down the path of well being.
