Quotes of a Master MVVI

I have never met a sign I would not like to disobey

Here the notion is that the government is taking care of the land. Hell's bell's and cockershell's they cannot even take care of their sign much less a plant.

Who is healthier in General a child or a parent?

Mostly we are born healthier get even more healthy and then decline. Here is why. When people do for you the results are healthier. When we decide for ourselves the results not so much. I think that means that family cares more about you than you do.

I met a body builder that was very healthy. He was also manic depressive. I asked him what he thought of the phrase "healthy is a state of mind". "If healthy is a state of mind, I am going to die real soon".

Think this way: A country man is healthier for the country, and a city man healthier for the city.

I have never met a sickly child that grew up to be a laborer. Maybe gifts are not always obvious.

I knew a great young man that had hands of magic. He could both catch a football in midair while being hit and play concert piano. He chose football and now cannot play the piano. Course if he chose piano, he now could not play football.

When your children call you a boo boo take heart.

Take care of your feet. They carry your meat.

If you ever see a soldier with uncared for boots, report him, he is a danger to himself and others.

If you cannot carry your own weight, lose it.

I do not like to dance so much, but my feet do and they are good partners.

Shoes that cause your feet to ache cause your mind to bend or is it shoes that cause your mind to bend cause your feet to ache.

I knew a cowboy who only wore tennis shoes, so no one would think he was a truck driver.

I love to walk barefoot. But I never leave my house without shoes.

Feel the mud between your toes. It is glorious and only between you and your toes.

If you never jumped in puddles as a child. Do your friends and family a favor. Do it as an adult, it is a game changer.

Contrary to popular opinion I like feeling down and blue. I just can't make a living at it, how about you.

Depression is a devastating illness. If you know someone that suffers from it, you are quite lucky because you are the cure.

I have had good kids and bad kids, I still do not know the difference.

I hated someone once it made me feel sick. I loved someone once it made me feel great. So why do we hate?

About Religion

Perhaps you have to belong to a religion in order to get invited to a party.

I would say athletics and sports are among the healthiest religions.

I like religions because they build cool buildings.

A few times in life, and This is no lie, I have met religious people who were spiritual. And believe it or not a few spiritual men that were religious. Go figure.

Religion is not the only way for spiritual people to get paid.

I take my son to Sunday School so he learns how to be polite and draw within the lines, well ok and the food.

I am a preacher and I like to preach about love. But every now and then I have to talk about the lack of love. That is a bummer.

I have never met a God that I did not like, but hey, I have never met a God.

I counted up and know from youth to now 8 different denominations liturgy and traditions fairly well. I have served in 5 different denominations. None of them brought me closer to God --- except for a weird fact, they all brought me closer to people. Makes you wonder.

I would like to be a religious fanatic, I would not have to think. Hey maybe I could do that when I get alzhiemers.

Please do not think me bad

I do believe that we all have a place. And if something brings us more love and less hate. Then we should dig it. But if we find ourselves ever thinking bad thoughts of another, we need to stop and listen and put that flame out. Please lift someone up today.

Please stop and listen

I am of the belief, Eric, that everyone can make a difference. Naive? I hope not. :)

billybuc - I don't think it is naive either, but if the alternative is hopelessness, then I choose to naively believe that we can each make a difference. :)

Eric - Wonderful hub - part philosophy, part common sense, part thought-meandering, part truth seeking & speaking. I love it. Theresa

Well Sir Eric you are the most quotable man on Hubpages and you are right up there with my dad who wrote 60 novels in his spare time and 1 memoirs of his time in World War II as a hobby that he loved to do (and that was during his full time job in a steel factory and being a great dad and husband.)

This hub in particular is a keeper and I will personally bookmark it for future reference as I always try and learn a new word everyday or be inspired by a memorable line - and you my friend have a lot of memorable lines (including dat guy from lake erie, lol) so I will post and link your quotes to my FB page so you will become quotable there too.

Just awoke from night shift sleep with first cup of coffee and some Vivaldi to kick start the day.

I am in the drudgery of an office chair plotting to take over the entire internet -- it takes a lot of work. Your happiness and lifting me up just gave me the strength I need to carry on. Muchas Gracias from down borderland way.

Dear Eric, why can't there be more people like you? I once looked at you as the intimidatingly intelligent and potentially 'preachy' kind of people... that was before I knew you. I am blessed to know who you truly are. You are a preacher, but you do not preach what is right and what is wrong, you preach love and have a mission to share and spread the love. You are intimidatingly intelligent and we know, people fear what they don't know... some people don't know how to love. You will make a difference; you already have... this I'm sure!

After escaping a violent 10 year relationship, I met and fell in love with the wrong person and in an attempt to be loved, I became an unrealistic perfectionist and struggled with bulimia for nearly 4 years. I couldn't have been any unhealthier on the inside and my heart and mind were full of darkness and equally, sadness. Yet, I strive to make the days of others bright. It seems simple... why can't everyone understand this?

I'm not where I need to be, I'm not sure if I ever will be, but I'm heading that way... and I won't stop until I get there!

I hit every button, even justified funny a couple of times! Sharing too, of course!

Much love to you Eric, as you deserve it tenfold!

I just noticed a beautiful thing. Perhaps you are not where you need to be for you. But you are exactly where and how you need to be for me.

We are very fortunate to have each other. We finally have rain out in our desert Southwest. I hope the flowers it brings are half as wonderful as you.
