Rules To A Happy Student Life
Are you a happy motivated student? Or do you drag yourself to school every day?
Motivation and Inspiration are the most important steps toward setting your goal. When a person sees another achieving huge success, he wants to become like him and maybe, achieve more than him. He himself and his relatives too, somehow, motivate him for the same reason. If he doesn't get motivated and inspired by someone, he would be like a lost child in the jungle, who doesn't know which way to go. But to get motivated, you need to believe in yourself, like most legends do. Like Margaret Thatcher, believe that you can change the history and old assumptions. Like Benjamin Franklin, believe that you can expose the greatest mysteries of the world. And at last, believe like Shah Rukh Khan that money in hand cannot provide success, but will power can.
For leading a prosperous and happy student life and to make your life better, one should follow some basic principles:
Think win-win. This doesn't mean that winning is everything. But what it does mean is that a student should participate in each and every competition with the aim of winning. It is this aim that provokes a child to work at his best and thus differentiates him from others.
Be optimistic. Look at each situation, whether great or worse, with a positive perspective, for it will surely bring positivity and success to your life.
Become a visionary. Think one step ahead. Act in the present to build your future. Your every action moulds your future unconsciously. Only a visionary can observe it. So being a visionary would help to a lot to act cautiously and head towards the right end.
Mentioned below are seven steps, that when followed, can ensure you a fantastic school life.
Step 1: Proactive or reactive?
Reactive people make choices based on impulse. These people generally prove to be very dangerous and frequently get frustrated with anger and rage within no time. They are like a can of fizzy drink. If life shakes them up a little, the pressure sure builds and they suddenly explode. But, unlike reactive people who are full of carbonation, proactive people are as calm and still as water. You may shake them up all you want, take off the lid and nothing happens. They are calm, cool and in control. What would you choose to be?
Step 2: Interact with your parents and share your problems.
Today's generation feels awkward to discuss any matter with their parents. They rather prefer their friends and hence divert from their path. One thing in which you can't compete with your elders is experience. Whether you are 16 or 61, your elders remain more experienced. This is where your friends are no match to your parents. Your friends, like you, are inexperienced and as a result of which they don't know how to act in most of the situations. They guide you as they like and ruin your life. Your parents are ever ready to help you. They are the most expert guides you would ever find. They scold you and even slap sometimes only for your good, and believe me, they would selflessly act for your all their life. I assure you that you are on the right path if guided by your parents, else you are a heading towards your end.
Step 3: Conquer your fear of failure.
If you let the fear of failure win over your confidence, you cannot compete in life. You have to conquer it. One is unable to participate in a competition or deal with situations if he is frightened by failure. Fear is necessary, for it fosters courage. But more of it can destroy your confidence and spirit. To tackle adverse circumstances of your journey towards success, your must conquer your fear of failure.
Step 4: Set meaningful goals and achieve them
One cannot progress in life if she doesn't have a goal. Having a goal gives to the exact direction to move to. But these goals should be meaningful. And to set meaningful goals one should realise his caliber. It is always better to set small goals with a short time period rather than the big ones to be achieved in a long time, as achieving one small one would automatically inspire you to achieve another.
Step 5: Increase your self-confidence
If you are brainy, skillful, talented but not confident, then all these qualities are a total waste. Without being confident, you cannot express yourself. So self-confidence is a must-have quality. A self-confident student with 80% marks is likely to get a better job than an under-confident person with 95% marks. Self-confidence is the part and parcel to a happy student life.
Step 6: Deal with the expectations of parents and teachers. But follow your heart when differences arise.
When parents and teachers motivate you for a reason or a goal, they expect you to achieve the same. So it is fruitful if you handle their expectations with care and respect and try to meet them. But sometimes they start expecting too much without being aware to your potential or want to achieve or become as per their wish. In these cases, one should follow his heart and be brave enough to tell the truth and his opinion.
Step 7: Read good books
Reading good books helps you in a lot of ways. Firstly, it builds positivity in you. Maybe the characters in the book could also act as an inspiration for you. Good books can guide you too in adverse conditions. They also help in your academics by building your vocabulary, knowledge etc. and indirectly, your self-confidence too. So reading good books can prove profitable for you.
Last and The Most Crucial Step
Till now, I have been taking about motivation, inspiration, interaction with parents, self-confidence, reading good books and much more. But now I present you the key which unlocks the doors to all of these. And in this materialistic world, it won’t cost you a single penny.
Step 8: Maintain, Respect and Follow your Moral Values
Motivation, inspiration, self-confidence, conquering your fear of failure, all can be achieved only if one has strong and good moral values. It is the moral values that determine what our thoughts should be. The thoughts determine our every action and reaction. And finally, our actions are responsible for our life. They are the ones who decide whether we achieve success or failure. So it is very important for us to make our moral values strong, and probably, the strongest. Meditation is the only method to improve and build our moral values in a positive way. I advise everyone to practice meditation daily, for it will profitable for you and will play a prominent role in your success journey.
