Seed Of Faith
Seed Of Faith

Practicing Seed Of Faith

Seed of faith is a practice that faithful children of God put into action in order to make God do the extra ordinary. The book of Hebrew 11:1-2 (1) to have faith is to be sure of the things hope for, to be certain of the things we cannot see. (2) It was by their faith that people of the ancient times won God approval.

What the above passage is trying to say in essence is that without faith our Christian life is in shambles. Abraham has faith put his faith into practice by trying to sow a seed of faith (His only son) and today he is known as the father of all faithful. The bible said that without faith no one can see God. Because God is invisible if you can not have faith that he exist then your faith is shaken.

The bible says that if our faith can be as small as a mustard seed then it would surely move mountain. Now what is that situation that your passing through, which you think is too big for God, why not sow a seed of faith today and see what God can do in your life.

Let’s consider Heb 11 verse 4; It was faith that made Abel offer to God a better sacrifice than Cain’s. Through his faith he won Gods approval as a righteous man, because God himself approved of his gifts. By means of his faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead.

The above bible verse is encouraging us to sow our seed of faith with our whole heart in order to make God come down in his fullness. Are you looking for financial favour and you feel you can not make it again? Why not sow a tangible seed of faith with that little one in your hand, the bible says in the book of Malachi 3 verse 10: bring the full amount of your tithes to the temple, so that there will be plenty of food there. Put me to the test and you will see that I will open the windows of heaven and pour out on you in abundance all kinds of good things) now you may ask how would you put your own God to test, the bible specifically said by your tithes and offerings which is part of your seed of faith.

Don’t always wait for miracle by binding and casting out demons, sometimes the difficulties we are passing through is as a result of our stinginess, we don’t have the spirit of giving if you don’t give how do you receive. If the word of God is false how would the whole world believe that givers never lack, because many have putting this theory into practical action and they have reap a positive result. I encourage you brethren, to have the

Spirit of giving at all times so that our faith in God would not be in vain.

John 3:16 say: for God so love the world that he send his only begotten son to die, that whoso ever believe in him will not die but have life everlasting) Brethren lets not be like the heathen who felt they know all, when they are actually dying in silence. If God can sow his only begotten son as a seed of faith in order that we might be save, who are we mortal being to ignore the value of seed faith. There must be something involve for us to get something, if you don’t sow in a farm would you go there and reap? its impossible the same applies to the things of God and our earthly possession.

The rich people know of the secret of sowing seed of faith, and that is why they keep getting richer. Don’t look at the seed in your hand that it’s too small, sow that seed now, because that is your seed of faith and watch out if God would not open the gate of heaven and shower his blessing for your sake.

A man was once faced with a serious financial problem, his daughter was in the hospital dieing of colon cancer, when he received a call that his wife has been involved in a ghastly motor accident involving a big lorry. After the call came through he looked around and saw a preacher who was preaching about what sowing a seed of faith can do in one’s life. This man quickly rushed home took the last money he had in his closet, went to a nearby church and drop the money in a box marked “help the poor” and quickly left the church. After this incident he now went to see his wife whom has been involved in a car accident in the hospital, on his way to the hospital he accidentally bumped into someone while he was rushing and this person was the person that changed his life and story for good. The man he bumped into happens to be an ex-class mate of his, whom now owns a very big company. There and then the man signed a check for him for the up-keeping of his wife and daughter and told him that as soon as he is through with attending to his family that he is going to offer him a position in his company.

As funny as this above story may sound it is a true life story, the man got a better job, his wife gets better and the daughter was totally healed of the cancer which is eating her up. Is that not miracle!  Now what bring about this miracle? It’s the seed that the man sowed, he heard the preaching and he believed and he also put into practice. And God open the windows of heaven for his sake.

There are many more things that God can do only if we believe and put our believe into practice, lets not be only hearer of the word of God but let us also be doers of the word of God. Remember to sow a seed of faith today in your local church, into the life of people around you and those in need. As you do so may the lord bless and protect you from all hidden dangers. Amen.
