Safe And Sound With My Sobriety
My Sobriety And My New Life
Yes, I am finally safe and sound with my sobriety and I have no more demons haunting me to keep my addiction going.
These demons of alcohol have been in my life, and running my life, and others for many years. It was about time I gave in and surrendered to the one thing, that would in time kill me, and make me lose everything I ever had, including my family and dear friends and then my life.
Alcohol addiction will in time catch up with each and everyone of us. Alcohol and our demons don't care about any of us. Our demons are out to kill each one of us, and you can bank on that. Alcohol does not discriminate. Alcohol doesn't care what color you are, what race, religion, blue tie worker, Executive, rich or poor. We are all at stake of being taken over if we are not careful of how we drink alcohol. Drink responsible!
You may think of am a hater of alcohol, but in fact, I loved to drink, but alcohol didn't love me. I was not the kind of person that could have one or two social drinks and walk away. I needed more and more until I got that buzz I longed for each and everyday.
What I did hate about alcohol was that it had me in it's grips and would not let go, and I didn't know just how to let it go and live a life of sobriety.
Sometimes in life there comes a time that you just have had enough of something, and for me, it was my addiction to alcohol. I saw my life going nowhere, but downhill, and going downhill fast. Nothing was worth being happy about anymore except when that first drink of the day touched my lips.
My Last Dance With Alcohol
You Too Can Be Safe And Sound
If I can be safe and sound and feeling at peace with my life, you too can do the same. If you want something bad enough in life, anyone can make that one and only life you have change for the better.
All you need to do is to make up your mind once and for all and take action to make it happen, and that includes getting and staying sober for the rest of your life. Nothing is impossible believe me, I did it and so can YOU!
If you are one that has been living in denial like I was for many years, you need to face the facts that you have an alcohol addiction and in order to get clean and sober you need to own up to this and make that change in your life, not only for yourself, but everyone that loves and cares about you.
Truly it is not as hard as it may seem. Granted in the beginning once you have stopped drinking alcohol it will be tough. You will be having those urges and temptations to drink, but you CAN NOT give in and start drinking again. Ask for the help and guidance to get you through this hard time in your life.
There are so many people and places that will help you if you feel you can not do this yourself. In fact, I would recommend checking into a Rehab. Center for the proper and safe way for you to detox, but in the meantime, you have to want this for yourself and not be forced into checking into these Centers for treatment.
Feeling At Peace With Your Life
Do You Feel Safe And Sound With Your Life?
I Can't Stress Enough How Wonderful Sobriety Is
I can't stress enough how wonderful my sobriety is. To be able to wake up each and every morning feeling fresh and ready to take on the world with no massive hangovers, feeling sick and just plain wore out from drinking the night before.
I also can not stress enough how you as an alcoholic can change your life as I changed mine. Thinking and acting in a positive manner helps so much when you are trying to get sober. If you live with negative thoughts saying to yourself that you don't think you will be able to beat this addiction you have, then I have to say, you are going to have a tough time getting and staying sober. Recovery will be harder for you being negative.
You need to keep telling yourself that you can and will beat this addiction to alcohol you have. Under no circumstances let anyone or anything stop you from achieving your sobriety. There will be plenty of times things just won't go the way you want them to go in life, and you just may think drinking alcohol again will fix all that is wrong, but you know as well as I do that alcohol fixes NOTHING, it only makes matters worse.
So stand strong to your inner demons and don't let them back into your life ever again, no matter what happens, good or bad!
