Safe Steroids Is There Such A Thing

Updated on April 24, 2013

Is there such a thing as safe use of Anabolic Steroids?

Okay lets start at the beginning and look at the word safe. By safe I mean can steroids be used without causing long term health problems?

Despite the massive outcry against steroids, mainly from the press and establishment, there is very little to no evidence that sensible use within prescribed parameters results in any detrimental effects on the users health.

However, common sense tells you that the use of any synthetic drug has potential for disaster if guidelines covering dosage, combination with other drugs, pre-existing medical conditions, etc are not adhered to.

After all even the common aspirin has the ability to kill in sufficient quantity, and that is obtainable over the counter in any country in the world.

Tobacco and alcohol both have mountains more proven medical evidence that they are damaging to our health than steroids and yet their sale is permitted, albeit with certain restrictions imposed.

Could it be that the economic effect of closing these businesses down stops our politicians from protecting us from these dangers?

Or could it be that they are too concerned about the effects of driving underground the supply of tobacco and alcohol by outlawing their sale?

Hard to understand any argument supporting the sale of these two products over steroids, isn’t it?

What Damage Could Steroids Do?

Potential side effects as a result of abusing steroids are quite horrific. The following is a short list:

  • Liver failure
  • Formation of benign and malignant tumours on the liver
  • Internal bleeding from ruptured cysts on the liver
  • Reproductive system damage
  • Infertility
  • Erectile dysfunction
  • Shrinkage of testicles
  • Cardio vascular system damage
  • Weakening of the heart
  • Increased risk of heart attack or stroke
  • Acne
  • Cysts or boils
  • Alopecia
  • Growth of Breasts (Gynecomastia)
  • Psychological damage (Roid Rage)
  • Increased aggressive behaviour
  • Increased sexual desire

However, and it is a big caveat, there is none to very little documented medical evidence that any of the above side effects have actually been caused as a result of steroid use. A fact conveniently ignored in all the sensational tabloid stories.

In addition, it would take almost moronic disregard for advice on dosage levels and longevity of usage to stand any chance of producing such side effects.

Unfortunately, as a result of such severe legislation in USA, Australia and many other countries, steroid use has been driven underground. This not only has the effect of making it harder to purchase them but it also means that a lot of support and advice for their use is also driven underground and in some cases out of sight.

The results of this short-sighted approach are:

  • Increased prices
  • Unreliable quality of products supplied
  • Insufficient freely available information and advice

Paradoxically, this makes the use of steroids even more dangerous.

What Keeps Steroid Use Safe?

Amazingly, primarily the common sense of the individuals using them. You need to take a minute to understand who we are talking about here.

Steroid users are not drug-crazed individuals. They are not society drop-outs, penny-less degenerates scrounging off the state or habitual criminals preying on old defenceless citizens.

Generally, they are prime physical specimens who take tremendous pride in their body; both appearance and condition.

They show an extremely high level of self-discipline and dedication to achieve their peak physical condition and these are traits that will be present in every aspect of their life.

They understand better than anyone, what their body is capable of achieving and sustaining.

They are highly knowledgeable on the subject of bodybuilding and physical condition.

They will have a carefully planned and thought-out exercise program and an equally carefully planned dietary regime.

They are fit, intelligent and totally informed and aware of what they are doing.

Don’t you think they are in a better position to judge whether they should be allowed to use steroids to enhance their condition than an incoherent addicted drunk would be to decide whether to buy another bottle of freely available spirits with which to enflame his cirrhosis of the liver?

They will understand the importance of choosing the correct combination of steroids to use together in order to enhance their effect and improve their results.

They will know the safe reputable onine stores to use that have a good track record of both customer service and quality products. That can give sensible advice and information. Stores such as

They will understand the importance of time on using steroids and time off letting the body recover.

They will not need to be told about hygienic and safe use of hypodermic needles or their safe disposal.

So in conclusion, safe use of steroids is possible. It is happening now in a gym near you!

      John Hi

I'm 56 years old, my opinions come from last 30 years in the gym.

Why do you disagree or agree with the premise that there is such a thing as safe steroid use?

i give a break of at least 4 months. both steroids are mild anabolic steroids so don't expect huge gains. There is small gains but they are solid you don't lose them after cycles. Both steroids have minimal androgenic properties so there is less side effects.

When you say stay on them 3 months, how long do you break for?

What benefits do you find you get from Anavar and Primobolan?

I've been on steroids for seven years at reasonable dose without much problems except acne and some hair loss. So what gives with disrespecting steroids?

Great hub. How many steroid related deaths do we have each year? Maybe one...which can't even be proven. Now how many deaths per year do we have from tobacco and alcohol... Steroids are misunderstood and villanized by the media. I use steroids 2-3 cycles per year with regular blood tests. I have never had any issues with my health ever. I order from this amazing steroid supplier LEGIT GEAR 3 day delivery 2 - review 2 thumbs up!

I'm going to have to second that. It would have been easier to take this hub seriously if not for the final little tid bit with a steroid ad.
