Set yourself free emotionally
Our minds are continually bombarded with thoughts - some happy, some sad & some unwanted thoughts & if we fail to take control of them we could end up getting emotionally sick. We must realize that we are in charge of our lives, our thoughts, our health & our happiness & we don't have to be like a sponge & soak up all hurts, disappointments & regrets which ultimately results in anger, resentment & depression. Our thoughts lead to feelings(emotions) which determine our actions. Actions generate thoughts in others mind, arouses their emotions & brings out reaction. When we allow our emotions to linger for long they become our mood, our temperament & later may be disorder which is unacceptable to society.
With our minds constantly occupied with thoughts, we develop basic life beliefs. What we believe affects the quality of our lives & controls how we respond to life. It affects our thinking & emotions, then our attitudes ,behaviour & relationships.
We must make every conscious effort to control our thoughts & renew our minds. A renewed mind brings joy & peace & healing to our emotions, freedom from destructive behaviour & power to love God & others. Problems are inevitable, but joy & peace are optional. We have all been hurt & wounded by others & life's circumstances, but we can learn to have joy & peace in all situations. Success is not the absence of problems, but knowing how to respond & resolve the problems.
How can we be emotionally free?
Identify the things that keep you emotionally restrained or trapped & how they affect your life.
Find a release valve for stress & tension. Consider sports, exercise, writing or pursue a hobby.
Don't get stuck emotionally, brooding over pains, hurts & negative experiences.
Let go of the past.
Clear your mind of the negative thoughts & concentrate on how you can grow from the pain you have survived.
Reflect on the positive aspects of moving on.
Write down your thoughts, feelings about how badly some people have treated you, what unfair treatment & events occured in your life & then draw up a plan of your intention to stop this , let go & move on.
Don't be carried away by emotions & allow others to manipulate your feelings. Do your own thinking, identify your feelings & don't let others convince you against your thinking & intuitions.
Take responsibility for your life.
Spend time on yourself.
Think before you speak.
Think positively. a positive mind creates a wonderful life for you. The more you work on it, the nearer you come to emotional freedom, when nothing any one says or anything that happens will hurt you any more.
You can change or control emotions, accept or release them.
Freedom is within you. Bring it out.
