The Different Herbs and Spices are so helpful for many Ailments

  • My life has become simple and most enjoyable.

A new life and so naturally I have adjusted to my new surroundings.

  • What makes my life so simple?

I have been told about the different herbs available and have read lots about green tea.

The Stinging Nettle tea is a useful tea but did not take much heed to all that information.

When I heard of the experience of another individual I paid attention.

Some people do believe natural tea does heal, or kills certain cancer cells. Not everyone would want to try different healing herbs.

I do believe that natural teas have a way of healing. I realized that when a family member was diagnosed with the early stages of prostate cancer.

He was devastated and the early stages was fairly treatable.

  • The patient was afraid of going into surgery he had to try other options and get rid of cancer soon but how?

While at the Urologist for a regular examination.

He overheard a nurse’s conversation with another patient about the same health problem.

The other patient did not feel the need to go into surgery as his prostate cancer was further than the early stages.

The one last chance was to try something new Stinging Nettle tea and Willow tea.

At the age of eighty he wanted to experiment with the natural herbal teas.

The family member was keen to also try the different teas. It was an interesting idea for the early stages of prostate cancer. Whether this was a good idea or not was hard to tell right away.

He was brave and had drunk the Stinging Nettle and Willow tea for three months.

In the final test of examinations the results showed negative of the prostate cancer.

No signs of the cancer cells really surprised the rest of the family.

Since then I got interested in cooking with different herbs for its unique flavors and aromas.

I do believe herbal teas are the answer to natural healing.

Seeing the proof so clearly and directly from the actual testing and examinations has showed me never to give up on natural healing.

My choice of planting the different herbs allowed me to experiment even more.

I use herbs daily in my foods and so enjoy the experience of planting new herbs.

I use thyme for roasting lamb, and chicken, mint for when I cook with fresh tomatoes, or with salads. The favors and aroma is greatly refreshing.

The wild Sage is used for tea, with Rosemary I make tea and add to my daily cooking.

I use Bay leaves for daily cooking, lavender for its aroma and useful oil.

Lavender has a very strong scent. I dried Lavender leaves for getting rid of fish moths from the closets.

The idea works perfectly and keeps all little creepy crawlies away from the cupboards.

I used to buy green tea but not anymore I find it very bitter and the bitterness affects my kidneys.

The different kinds of herbs have influenced my better and simple way of life in Croatia.

My daily walks enlighten me more on the many kinds of herbs growing up in the mountains.

I enjoy looking for the wild plants with great benefits.

The herbal plants from the wild is natural and without preservatives.

Sage is called Pelin in the Croatian language and the local home-made liquor is made from the flower of this plant.

It is slightly sweet and a healthy drink.

The slight bitterness presents the special taste.

Sage tea is used for menstruation problems and is most helpful.

I tried Sage tea and could not believe the wonder of how it helped me during that complicated time.

All bitter teas have a health substance and helps tremendously with many ailments.

Be patient and you will see good results.

The natural way sounds a better way for me.

It may not work out for every one due to allergic reactions.

Always check with your doctor or herbalist before trying any herbal products.

If you have hidden allergic reactions it can be a problem to try herbal teas.

  • The different types of herbs are so interesting and are quite beneficial.

Looking at how most people find their interest in herbs I decided to do the same. I planted thyme, all three kinds of Basil, the purple kind, holy basil and sweet basil, lots of Mint, and Sage.

We have acres of bay leaves.

Croatia has the perfect climate for bay leaves so this herb is found in all parts of our region.

  • Fennel parsley and celery, including garlic are very easy to grow.

I planted ginger and did not succeed with such cold winters the ginger plant did not grow again.

Last season I planted coriander and was impressed with my achievements.

The aroma of coriander is my best of all.

Herbs have got my mind working over time. I try to use all herbs dried or fresh and to have such unique flavors gives me an idea of what I should mostly use and pay attention to.

Sometimes I use the dried spices like origami, red paprika powder, black pepper, garlic spice, and bit of all other spices including fresh herbs.

That gives a special meal with great flavors and all works out perfectly in my cooking.

Foods prepared with different spices are so tasty and healthy for me.

We planted garlic and that was the easiest to grow and having to use my own garlic right from the garden the fresh tasting strong garlic did not last very long.

Fresh garlic eaten with food is another healthy option.

My new simple life has allowed me to eat healthy.

Life is good when you live an active lifestyle and eat healthy foods.

I recently heard of an older man in his eighties who has a diet of natural living. He only eats a certain type of grass daily and goes into the wild in search of this grass.

He looks twenty years younger and does not eat any meat or other foods.

It is an amazing true story and I have no idea of how manages this kind of lifestyle.

It is hard to believe but it looks like he has found his diet a while back and is quite happy with it.

Some people go searching for wild edible plants and have it as part of their diet.

My interest in herbal teas fascinates me and I like to know more about herbal cures.

Spices too have caught my eye over the years and also have a special interest at heart.

Herbal teas and all unique spices are the key to healthy living.

I don't know much about the eating grass diet.

I am focused on what my garden can grow and what I know is best for me.

There are many kinds of different herbs and spices in my case I have grown up with spicy foods. That had allowed me to know more about spices.

I found out more about herbal teas after a family member had the early stages of prostate cancer.

My reasons for discovering herbs and spices is one of the leading ways of healing naturally. These are new forms of my new experiences.

I feel if you can drink or eat the different herbs and spices, surely there is a chance of one healing from it too.

People who choose to heal with such natural ways are open to many options.

It is most fascinating to experiment with new healing products.

The many tests are showing some improvement in the use of herbal teas and in the use of different spices.

Turmeric powder is another beneficial spice and is not so recognized for its benefits.

The color allows for its healing properties.

I do know of people who use turmeric powder to heal sprains and to heal an abscess while covered overnight it is also as a cleanser for the face.

Harishprasad I am Indian and born in South Africa of the third generation and since my childhood years I was introduced to my normal Indian culture but never thought or appreciated the spices enough to see the value in all our spices and majority of spices are distributed from India through the rest of the world. I became more aware of the spices as I got older now I use more and more daily and enjoy all spicy foods, indeed it is a true story. Thank you for bookmarking my hub and for the vote up,

This is a very useful article. In fact, we in India use so many spices and herbs daily that we take them for granted. You have created a fine hub and has stressed upon their benefits. True story of an old person who was cured of prostate cancer is just amazing ! I have bookmarked this hub. Thank you. Voted up.

I heartily agree that herbs are the way to go and not chemotherapy etc. The book "Back to Eden" gives many instances where using a cheap herb called Red Clover cured cancer.

I love the smell of basil, lavender, sage and rosemary. :) Would lavender deter roaches too? I used to buy lavender oils online and use it for massage, bath, and as air freshener/purifier. Up and shared!

How beneficial even a small amount of herbs or spices can be continues to amaze me. I enjoy being able to pick fresh bay, rosemary throughout the winter and other herbs in season to use in my cooking. Thanks for sharing photos of plants growing in your area. It would be lovely to take a walk in the Croatia countryside and see its natural beauty!

Simple Life with Different Herbs, is as usual, for your work very informative and well presented. We have lost touch with medicinal herbs that have been beneficial to human health for many centuries. The ready meals and other processed foods we have been pressured into eating do much more harm than good. Well done for pointing out that natural food is much better for our well being, if used in the correct manner. Voted up.

There's nothing like just going out to your own garden (or containers) when you need fresh herbs. It's always better when you grow it yourself!
