Kidney Smuggling

Updated on March 25, 2011

Kidney trouble

Kidney is a part of you and me that is so important in excreting liquid wastes from our bodies.

Medical tourism is a new industry in medical field that promotes low-cost operation involving the said body part. It attracts candidates or patients who desperately need a transplant. Because of the high cost involve in the operation, that’s where medical tourism comes in. (Please check the medical book on Coping with Kidney Diseases for more information at Amazon.)

Kidney is a part that comes in pair in our body, just like eyes, ears, feet, hands, lungs, to name a few. If the left kidney fails to strain our liquid wastes then the right one will do the function.

Smuggling kidney is the dark side of this advancement in medical field. There are many syndicates who are scouting for a prospective victim, especially children who have healthy kidneys. There are incidents that can serve as evidence in the series of children abduction.

U.S. News and World Report received information from Asia; particular from poor countries about these dread situations wherein “harvesting” kidneys from the poor to rich people is the thriving black market trade in human organs.

People being targeted by these kidney smuggling rings are from Vietnam, Nepal, India and even the Philippines.

International kidney rackets are everywhere, even in the United States of America. The much-publicized entrapment by the FBI of Kosher Nostra involving five Sephardic rabbis of Orthodox Syrian Jewish community in Brooklyn and New Jersey (August 5th, 2009) sent shockwaves among the religious communities. They were accused of selling kidneys and laundering money through fake charities.

Is your children safe?

If the members of these kidney or organ international ring are just lurking around the corner of your coommunity, it is important that there is 24/7 alert in the police department, neighborhood watch and homeowners' group that can really inform the authorities of suspicious characters invading your city. Never trust a stranger, so our parents will say to their children. But what if those evildoers are already part of your community?

An alarming numbers of missing children or teenagers are always in the news. It's really important to never trust anybody except members of your family.

Human Organ Transplant Bill is being included in the legislation in Third World countries recently due to the alarming rates of incident involving organ smuggling, especially kidneys. With this bill, the donor will have the security needed and the medication to be provided by the medical institutions.

These people will never last. There's always a triumphant action against this evildoers.Let's keep our fingers crossed.

@Romano Arnesto: Thanks for bringing this up again. Child snatching is rampant in third-world countries, like Philippines. So, children in the cities, especially in Metro Manila are always cautioned by their parents to follow their instructions, from home to school and vice versa. Kidnappers are rampant; it's a dangerous world out there. This is a grim reality that the government should tackle seriously.

Children are once again cautioned by authorities to never trust strangers that frolicking at their places. Some unfortunate dead children were found at vacant lots with internal organs removed (Gross!!!). Some are trying to coverup such dangerous realities, especially here in the Philippines. That's because of this medical tourism. Due to affordable cost of surgery, foreigners with ailments are trusting the local doctors conduct the operations. Little did they know the source of some organs.

That's true, creativeone59. Our body parts are becoming targets of these international organ syndicates, especially innocent children.
