Some of the best herbs for weight loss

Updated on June 10, 2010

Some of my weight loss favorites

First things first; You need to know why you are overweight.

Are you snacking because you are bored, but are not hungry?
Are you eating all the time, yet still feel hungry?
Is your system overloaded, and you need to detoxify?

Each has different causes for your fat accumulation.

If you're bored, there is no polite way to say it. Stop eating and find a hobby. Something you think is fun. Something active.

If your eating all the time, yet still hungry, it very well may be because many of the foods we consume in todays society are not nutritious, and you're slowly starving while having a full stomach. That was part of my problem.
Parsley, chickweed, kelp, and spinach.

Parsley: Contains Vitamin A, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B3, Vitamin C, Calcium, Chlorine, Copper, Iron, Phosphorus, Potassium, Sodium, Sulfur.

Chickweed: Contains Vitamin C, Phosphorus

Kelp: Contains Vitamin A, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B 12, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Vitamin G, Calcium, Chlorine, Copper, Iodine, Iron, Lithium, Magnesium, Manganese, Phosphorus, Potassium; Selenium, Silicon, Sodium, Sulfur, Zinc, Trace Minerals. I often use this instead of salt. It's fantastic for helping to support your thyroid.

Spinach: Contains Vitamin K, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin), Vitamin E, Vitamin B1 (Thiamin), Vitamin B3 (Niacin), Manganese, Folate, Magnesium, Iron, Calcium, Potassium, Tryptophan, Dietary Fiber, Copper, Protein, Phosphorus, Zinc, Omega 3 fatty acids, Selenium.

Do you feel like your 'bursting at the seams' in your own skin? Are you having trouble squeezing out a stool?
That's a pretty good indication that you need to relieve your system. The food you eat goes somewhere. If you're not eliminating it, you are storing it in your fat cells.
Dandelion is my personal favorite, along with burdock and licorice.

Dandelion and Burdock: This combination is one of my hands down favorites. Burdock is a deep cleanser of both the blood and the liver. Dandelion helps cleanse the system and helps eliminate the waste from the body. Drink a cup of this tea combination every day and you WILL lose weight, and be healthier, which means you'll feel better.

Licorice: This is a mild, non-habit forming laxative to help move things along. It also is mildly anti-inflammatoy, anti-viral (to help get rid of viruses), and anti-allergentic.

Well, there you have it. Some of my favorite, easy to use weight loss favorites. I have personally found these to work, and I have higher energy for the activities that I like to do.

Good luck, and stick with it. You can do it!
