Something To Make You Smile

Updated on February 2, 2013

I Want To Make You Smile

The cause and effect of a smile often comes and goes without a thought. If you think about it there are several things during the course of a day that can make you smile. A program on TV might be funny, something a child says or does or even a mistake like tripping over something can be cause for laughter.

Laughter is a human trait that is very powerful. Our stress levels, mood and socialization with other people are all effected by this action. Laughter is also a contagious action. People who laugh often are lucky enough to have a wonderful human characteristic and when transferring the happiness and positive attitude on to other people it is possible to create a chain of good vibrations and positive outlooks.

Smiling and laughter begins almost as soon as we are born. Now this baby above looks like she will grow up to have a good sense of humor.

A Smile To Brighten A Day

Some people are just genuinely happy and friendly. Just bumping into or being around certain people can bring a smile to your day. On the other hand sometimes the opposite is true. Those kinds of people tend to bring us down. Surrounding ourselves with happy friendly people is healthy.

We rarely think about how smiles and laughter can benefit us on a larger scale. It is a great medicine for the body and soul. People should not hesitate to have a lot of laughter in their lives. It is excellent for health and well being.

Who Smiles More - Children or Adults?

Children laugh more often than adults. Why? Maybe because they don't have the stress in their lives that adults often have. They don't hold as much information or think about things as much so the minute something presents itself that seems funny to them, they laugh.

If you've ever seen children laugh, the emotion is deep and real. They are thinking of nothing else except whatever is funny at the time. As adults we should study them and laugh like they do. It would make us feel so good.

A Beautiful Smile

Then there are those who have been blessed with beauty. A beautiful smile from someone can induce a smile from another. And weather it be a beautiful smile, a cheerful personality or a person who giggles and laughs often, those are people who make the world a happier place to be.

But even as adults, the gift of laughter is often a strong and healthy trait.

So the best advice is keep smiling and keep laughing.

....well actually my friend you have made 'me' smile ....after coming home from work at lake erie time ontario canada 7:20am .....and , lol, the world is a small place indeed isn't it, lol, as I live not too far from you - actually I live right on the lake and 47 miles across is Erie, Penn.

So nice to meet you and sending warm wishes your way - how did you survive the nasty snow storm last Friday? Here, it was bad enough, but luckily there wasn't much of a wind or it would have been a lot worse.

I love your writing here - for children of all ages - we all need to laugh and smile from time to time - the more often we can do it , the better.
