South Park Makes Shake Weight Sales Sore

Updated on November 18, 2010

South Park and Shake Weight

I just finished watching the latest South Park episode and I have to say it was the funniest one I have seen in a long time. Randy Marsh is obsessed with the Food Network and his wife buys a Shake Weight so she can work out and feel better about herself. The show played on the addictiveness of TV Food shows as well as the phallic innuendo that comes with the Shake Weight product.

South Park has been one of the most interesting shows in recent history. From their crude and crass beginnings, they have evolved into a show that deals with social issues in a refreshing way. It holds a mirror up to America and the world and basically highlights the ridiculousness of our present day lives. The way the South Park Shake Weight issue has been tackled (no pun intended) has been hilarious.

Holiday Gift - Shake Weight - As Seen on South Park

What is the Shake Weight

The Shake Weight is a cylindrical exercise gadget that is supposed to help you lose weight but it looks slightly ridiculousness and I am not at all sure of its effectiveness. For all I know, it might be very effective so it does make for an excellent gag or serious gift for people who are interested in losing weight. So, if you are looking to lose some weight, I would look into the Shake Weight.

So South Park has finished its season already and that is sort of a bummer. I am not at all sure as to why they have such short seasons. Seems to me that the fall season has just barely begun and already it seems to have ended. This, of course could be simply a case of not being able to get too much of a good thing but I hope that South Park continues to make great episodes and especially one's with interesting gadgets like the Shake Weight.

I don't know if you remember but Jon Stewart was really going after the Shake Weight when it first came out a few months ago. It seems odd that South Park would have just picked it up after so long. Also interesting of course was the whole Food Network thing. I can relate because I am obsessed with Food and Cooking shows in general.

So anyway, Remember to pick up your Shake Weight to give the person you love this holiday season, lol. I know just the person in my list who would love one!
