Start Losing Weight Right Now

Updated on March 13, 2012

Just Be Determined And Lose Your Undesired Weight

Another new year is upon us and it's time to stop making excuses and start losing weight. As a health professional who specializes in weight loss in Paramus New Jersey, I hear the same excuses time after time. Patients either can not find the time to focus on weight loss or it's not a good time to start losing weight (due to a special occasion or holiday). Losing weight is not an easy task. If this were the case, we would not deal with an epidemic of obesity in this country. But it is important to realize that living a healthier life, well-balanced is at your fingertips. Start with small simple changes so it does not want to give you everything you enjoy. It is time to accept the challenge and decided to make real changes daily to start losing weight and keep it.

I understand that your busy schedule. Between work, errands, taking care of children go to school, cooking and spending time with family and friends, it is clear that your time is limited. As Americans, we are constantly on ourselves and the extension into situations where we feel stressed and overwhelmed. However, this is not a reason to sacrifice your own health and wellbeing. If anything, you should be more motivated to take care of yourself with diet and exercise, to ensure that you are available to meet your busy lifestyle.

Your health and well-being need to start being a priority in your daily life. No matter how busy you are, you still need to eat - but you need to start making better choices. By focusing on appropriate portion sizes may be the ideal place to start. In addition, make sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day and before meals to help reduce your appetite. Pack a lunch or healthy snack instead of "driving around" in a fast-food restaurant. These simple changes do not take time from your busy schedule and allow you to work towards becoming better health. So move them to the top of your "to do" list and start making time for diet and exercise.

I can not tell you how many times I heard "I really want to lose weight, but I'll start after the holidays" or "after my birthday" or "tomorrow." Procrastination is your worst enemy. If you know you have a big event coming up and you know you will be engaging in extra food and alcohol, then the sooner you take control of your diet and start making healthier choices on the exercise the better. Not only will you look and feel better for your event, but you'll have plenty of guilt and remorse less thereafter.

Start getting active. It is important that you find at least 20-30 minutes each day for some type of physical activity. You go to the gym, take a walk, practice yoga, or participate in sports, exercise is essential for weight loss and healthy weight management. Any activity is good enough as it is sustained and consistent throughout the week. There is no time like the present to start. Make sure a promise to start dieting and exercise today! You deserve it.

That's so real...but you know what...if you said I will make a diet till i lose 1 kilograms or 2 or 3 or 4....etc according to you.

Then you will do it...just be determined you can lose weight easily but the problem (also mine) is to stick on the weight you achieved which is almost the problem of the whole world.

And i'm sorry for your accident and wish you speed recovery.

P.S: This hub may help you to lose quickly weight and have a day off per week if you stick with it ,I guess it will work with you. http://hubpages.com/t/2e718e

This is good advice, but not always easy to follow, especially for us emotional eaters! I haven't been able to excercise for some time because of an accident, and it's hard to resist comforting myself with food - you do it without thinking, like an automaton. It's becoming consciously aware that makes the difference.
