Stay Amazed

Updated on January 21, 2016

There is always many ways we look at something, either we appreciate them or we are critical about them. For some who are the 'in between' it does not effect them at all.

The approach of transforming ourselves from the 'Critical' to be more 'appreciative' or accept the beauty of it can actually help us to move towards positive.

Making the best of the journey called life. Look at the beauty of every thing small or big. Sometimes we tend to forget the amazing things around us because we get caught up in the drama of things that aren’t really important.

This hub belongs in the series of 'Plant Good Thoughts', hope that it can help us to look at things differently and find everything as amazing as it was intended to be.

Beautiful Life is not Accident

We belong in a creation that is beyond imagination. This Amazing world was not an accident and so is our life . It is a magic that is beyond us. We are a part of the amazing world. Create 'that' sense of belonging, and you can find yourself finding a meaning to your life.

Instead of just 'Fitting' into this amazing world, start 'Belonging' to it and you will realize the Beauty of this Life and the World.

Racial Competition

Ever wondered how amazing it is just being human. People from different culture, race and religion staying in one earth. The diversity was deliberately created for some reason.

Instead of appreciating and being amazed over the diversity, we human have made it into a Racial Competition or shall we call it 'Clash of Civilization' which was proposed by political scientist Samuel P. Huntington in a 1992 .

In the 1993 Foreign Affairs article, Huntington writes:

It is my hypothesis that the fundamental source of conflict in this new world will not be primarily ideological or primarily economic. The great divisions among humankind and the dominating source of conflict will be cultural. Nation states will remain the most powerful actors in world affairs, but the principal conflicts of global politics will occur between nations and groups of different civilizations. The clash of civilizations will dominate global politics. The fault lines between civilizations will be the battle lines of the future.

In the end of the article, he writes: This is not to advocate the desirability of conflicts between civilizations. It is to set forth descriptive hypothesis as to what the future may be like

(edited from Wikipedia :https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clash_of_Civilizations )

We have to learn to accept that life is multi faceted with people from different race, religion, beliefs, attitude, character and so on .. were created for a good reason. For human to learn bonding and fitting in with the people of other community.

Lets learn to love our diversity, there is no getting away from it. Although our diversity can be very challenging but it’s what makes everything amazing.

Major civilizations according to Huntington

Amazing Nature

There are thousands of things that can amaze us in nature, from the snow to the heat that melts it into water .

  • The scenery of nature is so amazing
  • The aroma and wonderful smells
  • The colors that are bright and beautiful

The question now is instead of being amazed are we 'Killing' the Earth. Are Human's using up all the natural resources from this planet and destroy the amazing wonders ?

In an article in The Telegraph entitled "Humans are plague on Earth", David Attenborough said “We are a plague on the Earth. It’s coming home to roost over the next 50 years or so. It’s not just climate change; it’s sheer space, places to grow food for this enormous horde. Either we limit our population growth or the natural world will do it for us, and the natural world is doing it for us right now,”

Instead of feeling amazed by the Nature .. have we been killing it ... Just read through the lyrics of Boney M' song, We Kill The World (Don't Kill The World) ..

We Kill The World (Don't Kill The World)

I see mushrooms, atomic mushrooms. I see rockets, missiles in the sky. Day by day, more and more,

Where will this lead to and what is this good for? Poor World, Poor World.

Concrete's rising up, where yesterday was park you heard the Robin's Song. Heavy tractor runs, where air was clean and cool , make money, bringing fuel.

Where will this lead to and what is this good for? A Poor World, Poor World.

Fishes doomed to die, as people live close by and oak tree falls with moon. Parking lots will come, with flower fields were bright as junkyard covers sight!

Where will this lead to and what is this good for? Poor world, is hurting bad, Poor world, is doomed to die.

We kill the world, kill the world, We surely do, In peace we do! We kill the world, kill the world
'cause we don't know, what we are doing! We kill it, One by one, Don't realize! And nuclear piles stand like monuments of destruction throughout over the country. Promenades must go, so cars can drive in row. New Fact'ry towers tall Farmhouse had to fall, No flowers in the air, pollution everywhere.

Where will this lead to, and what is this good for? A Poor world, Poor World.

Oceans in despair, There's rubbish everywhere, The seaweed chokes in mud, Nature's had her lot. With nuclear waste and rot And mushrooms bloom as clouds.

Where will this lead to and what is this good for? Poor world, is hurting bad, poor world, is doomed to die.

We kill the world... Don't kill the world, don't let her down. Do not destroy basic ground.
Don't kill the world, our means of life. Lend ear to nature's cry.
Don't kill the world, She's all we have, And surely is worth to save, Don't let her die, fight for her trees,Pollution robs air to breathe. Don't kill the world help her survive
And she'll reward you with life And don't just talk, Go on and do the one, who wins is you.

Cherish the world, A present from God, On behalf of all creatures, made by the Lord
Care for the earth, Foundation of life, Slow progress down help her survive

Those Rare Moments

Daily everyone of us will experience those moments that are so exiting or incredible that it sticks into our mind.

“Do you know how there are moments when the world moves so slowly you can feel your bones shifting, your mind tumbling? When you think that no matter what happens to you for the rest of your life, you will remember every last detail of that one minute forever?”

— Jodi Picoult, Nineteen Minutes

Of course .. those moments is inclusive of some upsetting moments, like disputes, arguments and fights. The feeling of sadness, ashamed, or even angry are weaknesses that can break a relationship, be it friends, partner or family. It is not worth a break up in some instances because there could be some amazing moments we shared.

There is always an aggressor and the victim in an argument. Do not provoke. Stay away from negative mood as much as you can. Do not allow things to get in the way of those amazing moments. This does not mean running away from confronting or communicating but instead make it short and easy, there is no point of raising voice or fist fights.

Refocus your thoughts on the amazing moments that has passed between you and the others. Reconnect with the beautiful reality and make the negative cloud pass through.

How to stay Amazed !!

Try finding beauty in everything .. just unwrap yourself from anything you are doing and look with amazement at everything. From a swaying tree to running water , and you can find the beauty and stay amazed .

Here I have given a simple task which may help you along in your amazing journey ..

Relive and Rejoice .. stay Amazed !!

The task is simply easy, start a journal .. start recording those happy moments or even the special moments that amazed us. This journal is almost like diary but yet you just write what amazes you. From a rain shower to a visit to the zoo, something could have amazed you.

This journals can make a big difference in your life as during some unhappy moments you can just turn the pages and relive that moment and rejoice the things that amazed you. This can bring you out of your negative environment.

Writing them can keep the things fresh in your mind every time and probably when you are older your young ones can see from your eyes some of the amazing things around us ...

Do not forget to appreciate the beauty that is around us and do not allow matters to influence your thoughts from appreciating the amazing things .. Stay Amazed !!

Put on the Amazing Glasses

Lets open our eyes and look at the beauty that makes this earth and this universe. The beauty has always been but goes unnoticed because our mind goes 'Flip-Flop', so instead of looking at the beauty we start looking at the difference and start looking at development.

Embarrass the beauty and be Amazed
