Stress from lack of Sleep

Updated on December 9, 2012

I am so Tired

I have two children. One six and one is one month old. It is amazing how stressful the events of the baby not sleeping and my oldest needing something when the baby is sleeping can be. This means I get no sleep. My youngest is up almost all night and then when we fall asleep about 6:30 in the morning I have to get back up to get my oldest on the bus. Then the baby is hungry again in about two hours after that. This is my life day to day and I wouldn't change it for anything in the world. I am so tired though and so stressed out it is unbelievable. What can I do to relax? Is there a schedule change I can make to make it a little easier on all of us?

Stress Relief

When my oldest goes to school and the baby is asleep for that few minute, I run a warm bath. I sit there with the monitor right beside me and I feel some relief. Five minutes of me time is well appreciated and well deserved. When I get out I just remind myself of all the people that can't sleep and get no relief due to medical reasons or any other reason. One thing to always keep in mind is that it could always be worse. I am not saying that my life is bad but it can take a toll on me at times. Having a good mental state and positive attitude gets me through everyday and is the largest stress relief method I have. So what is your stress relief? What gets you through each stressful day you are faced with? A few minutes alone? Positive attitude? Or just how perfect your life really is?

Effects of controlling stress

Being able to control stress is a huge part of life. We see all television everyday things that could have been prevented if these people could have just been in control of themselves and their own lives. Don't let stress get the best of you. When all else fails go in a room alone and scream into a pillow. Anything is better than nothing. Stress can be really bad for some people who don't have a hold on themselves. Stress effects your life, well being and health. If you find what stresses you out, have a plan before it gets to bad. Being able to control your stress can be a very positive aspect of your life. Can you control yourself? What helps you to calm down when you are stressed to the max? Talking about it will help to, because whether we like it or not, stress can be a big problem. Get it out before you feel like you are going to break. It will prevent you from a meltdown. Stay positive
