Benefits of Taking Green Tea Extract

Cancer
Studies of the effect of green tea extract on patients with bladder, breast, ovarian, pancreatic and other cancers have revealed its ability to prevent the recurrence and spread of the disease and to improve survival rate, as reported by the University of Maryland Medical Center.
Atherosclerosis
Atherosclerosis is the build up of plaque inside the arteries. Studies confirm the ability of green tea to prevent this build up and lower the possibility of developing cardiovascular disease as cited by the Connecticut Center for Health in its report “Benefits of Green Tea.”
Parkinson’s Disease
According to a study published in "Biological Psychiatry" (December 15, 2007), green tea polyphenols may protect brain cells against the ravages of Parkinson's disease. However, researchers still must conduct rigorous clinical studies on humans to verify whether green tea can positively impact the condition.
Immune System
A study conducted at Pace University found that the effect of green tea on the immune system shows its ability to stimulate the immune system’s ability to fight disease-causing organisms.
Cavities
An additional study conducted at Pace University showed that green tea had the ability to fight infections and the bacteria that causes dental caries.
