Lose Weight Fast With The 1 Day Diet
The 1 Day Diet
It is a fact that 99 out of 100 people who start a diet, weigh the same amount or more two years later. That's why when you doctor suggests you lose weight, they secretly know you are probably not going to keep it off. It's like telling you to jump over the Moon.
Now that 99 of you have stopped reading, I am going to tell the hundredth person how you can lose as much weight as you want, whenever you want to.
I am going to show you how you can lose weight without developing massive amounts of willpower.
I will teach you how you can diet again and again, whenever you need to, so you can keep the weight off.
This is going to be the simplest diet you have ever seen. It is going to be easy for you to lose weight and keep it off. You are going to be that hundredth person who succeeds at dieting.
Your friends and loved ones are going to be amazed. You will gain new respect from the people who now talk about you behind your back, pitying you for being a little flabby.
They will see the change in you, and believe me you will feel good about it.
Anatomy of a New Diet
You are probably wondering what makes this diet different from your regular way of eating. The simple answer is, nothing.
On this diet you eat the same things you have always eaten. Do you like candy bars and milkshakes? Then they are on this diet. Are you a freak for maple syrup and lemonade on frog elbows? Okay, but don't make me watch! Do you eat lettuce and salads? Definitely don't make me watch.
The reason other people make their diets so complicated is to get you to believe in the diet. When you eventually get bored, disillusioned, or suffer from a crash of willpower, you can't blame the diet!
The 1 Day Diet is simple, because it works. There are no special foods, there are no special procedures, and you don't have to sacrifice toads at midnight. It just works.
The only reason you will quit is because you have reached your goal.
The 1 Day Diet
All you do is diet one day at a time. That means that for one day you reduce how much you eat. If you reduce how much you eat, your body will burn up some of your fat to replace the missing food, and you will lose some weight.
Many people find it helpful to count calories and set a limit for how much to eat. For a lot of people 1000 calories works. That's much less than most people eat in a day, but it is still enough food that you probably won't feel deprived.
If at first you still feel deprived, try 1500 calories. It doesn't matter what the number is, as long as you are eating less than usual.
At the end of the first day, stop dieting. Your diet is over. Don't think about dieting any more.
After Your 1 Day Diet
The next morning, after your diet is over, I suggest you recite this special mantra.
"Thank goodness that's over!"
The day after my diet, I had ice cream for breakfast. If you have never tried it, let me tell you it is phenomenal! Chocolate Almond!
What you are going to do on this day of freedom, is eat whatever you want.
I believe there are no bad foods. Well, except for mushrooms. I'll eat snails before I eat mushrooms.
Of course there are dietitians and doctors and other highly focused professionals who will shake their heads and beg to differ. Go ahead and differ.
This is a diet about losing weight. It is not an excuse to torture you with macrobiotic or Mediterranean theories.
If you are overweight, the healthiest food for you is the calories you avoid eating. It doesn't matter if the are kale or peanut clusters or kwinn-waaah. (Preferred by lamas and llamas two to one.)
So lets get serious. Enjoy this day. Maybe eat something special that you have been denying yourself.
Chow down and go with the flow. Let tomorrow take care of itself.
Rejoice and be happy, it is a beautiful day.
What Have We Learned?
The next morning it is time to take stock and think about the future.
If you wrote down your weight before your one day diet, and you weigh yourself this morning, you may very well see a little bit of weight loss.
I'm a big guy and while eating 1000 calories, I burn about half a pound of fat a day.
You may not see that much on your scale, but you have lost fat. Either that or you died. Those are the only two choices. Ain't science grand!
You might have cheated a bit on your 1 Day Diet. I did! But I still lost weight.
Don't worry, it gets easier.
Now you have to decide what you are going to do today. Are you going to eat as much as you want, or are you ready to do another 1 Day Diet?
It is entirely up to you. Some people skip dieting for several days. It doesn't matter.
The next time you do a 1 Day Diet, you will lose more weight. It has to happen.
Your body isn't magic. It burns fuel every day. Much of that fuel is used to just to keep your body warm.
It can use food that you eat, or your own fat, or glycogen from the liver. Both fat and glycogen weigh something. If you ate less food than your body needs, you burned something from your body, and you lost weight. Give yourself a gold star.
The Special Rule
It was too good to be true. I have to give you a special secret rule or I don't get to call it the 1 Day Diet.
You are going to like this rule.
Don't diet two days in a row!
Don't do it.
Never diet two days in a row.
It's not just because then you would have to call it the 2 Day Diet or the 3 Day Diet.
There are two things I haven't told you. Get ready.
Hacking Your Metabolism
Your metabolism includes the processes used to burn energy and then create all the wonderful things used inside your cells to keep you healthy and happy.
There are two important things to know about your metabolism.
One is that when you restrict your calorie input, your body becomes healthier and you live longer.
The other is that when you restrict your calorie input for days in a row, your metabolism resets to starvation mode and it becomes harder and harder to lose weight.
Fortunately you can hack your metabolism. By returning to normal calorie input after your 1 Day Diet, you prevent your metabolism from going into that starvation diet mode.
Meanwhile the 1 Day Diet sets your metabolism to healthy mode.
So each time you do a 1 Day Diet, you get the maximum fat burning benefit from your temporary calorie restriction.
It's like having your cake and eating it too. Or not having your cake, and eating it too. In any case, it is a good thing.
My Testy Moany All
I hate to diet, don't you? I want to diet as little as possible. I want to get the most benefit from the least amount of days spent dieting.
I am really a computer programmer. I have been for 40 years. I'm actually a very good computer programmer. What I do is boil things down to the minimum principles involved and then design a program based on those principles to provide the maximum benefits possible.
The 1 Day Diet is really an app that runs on a person instead of on a phone or computer.
It is designed to give you the most weight loss for the least pain, suffering, will power, and missed eating opportunities.
I use the 1 Day Diet by doing a diet day, then a regular eating day, then a diet day again. Sometimes I skip having diet days on weekends or special occasions.
If you use it the way I use it, you will lose multiple pounds of weight each week. I started using the 1 Day Diet again 10 days ago. As of this morning I have lost 8 pounds. Some of that might just be water. But I know over time I average about 4 to 5 pounds of weight loss per week.
Your mileage will vary of course. I am a big guy and I have a lot of weight to lose. You may lose weight faster or slower than I am losing it.
Suppose you average calories per day is X. If you eat 1/2 that many calories on a 1 Day Diet, after two days you have eaten an average of 3/4 X calories each day. It is exactly the same as if you have restricted your calories each day, but it is about one hundred times easier, and you don't set your body to starvation mode.
I know I just tricked you into using algebra, but you had to use it sometime in your life, didn't you?
I could still whine about having to diet, even just one day at a time, but something funny happened to me. I want to share this with you because I believe it will happen to you also.
One Morning I Woke Up
One day after repeating the 1 Day Diet three or four times with regular eating days in between, I realized something that changed my life, the universe, and everything.
It might not sound like much, but it you experience it you will know it is a very big deal.
Instead of resenting the diet day, I was looking forward to it. No, really. I am not making this up.
I know you are still thinking I am making this up.
My whole relation to my body had changed. Instead of feeling like I was fat and couldn't follow through and do anything about it, I realized that I am in charge.
I can choose to be whatever weight I want. It might take weeks or months or years. But I can continue to hack my metabolism, and
I can be any weight I want to be.
And so can you.
And it is GLORIOUS.
Ready Set Go
Go ahead, do the 1 Day Diet. Then eat normally for a day or two. Then do it again.
If you cheat on a diet day, make it a normal day and do one more normal day after that day, before you do a diet day.
You will find that you are in charge of who you are. This is more than just about dieting.
Welcome to the one percent! Welcome to the 1 Day Diet!
