The Art of Loving. It Is So Easy To Love Who We Love. That Is As Normal As Greed.

Updated on March 21, 2014

This boy is in very big trouble - not, he is in very big love!

People are too often seen as distractions.

There she is working away in the kitchen and the rug rat 4 year old comes begging for attention and distracting her from the meal she is trying to "make". A harsh tone at the child and a scolding comes naturally. And then that frustration is focused right back onto the food. It now would not matter how perfectly she follows her recipe, or what perfect spices she uses. The "food" is now ruined.

The art of loving is not about who we love but a being of love. It is the only living state of grace. Love in it's truest sense is not an emotion but a peaceful understanding. It is a mindset.

Now change the scenario and the four year old beast comes screaming into the kitchen for attention and the mom, quickly swoops up the child and already has a spoon full of treats ready Freddy for the child and shows him what is cooking and hugs and kisses him and quickly gives his project attention. Then right back to the meal she is preparing. The "food" is now blessed and will fill the house with sweet smells and be delicious and nutritious in both sustenance for the body and the soul.

The time it took for both scenarios is about the same. The results are worlds apart.

Who is the boss in this picture? Love is the boss not a person.

The best squirt gun ever is a brand new insecticide sprayer. 1. therefor it is not used for insecticides 2. it is fun to squirt but not a gun.

Work place human interruptions

There you are deep into a project with a timeline and pressure mounting in your cubicle at work. Along comes Mack with more chatter than business and interrupts you with a question he is supposed to know the answer to and comments about the photos on your desk. You bark him down and tell him harshly that you have work to do and no time for chit chat. You just took your project down three notches in quality. Anger and frustration comes through in your work -- take that to the bank.

Same deal but you engage Mack in your work asking for his advice and building his esteem. The project just got a bump in quality and now Mack owns a part of it and will be supportive. You feel good and he feels good and so your project will have that in it.

Now if you are discerning you will have just picked up on a theme that we take action to love others for ourselves. It is not about them. It is about us and life done better.

Love is not always easy and it is not our first reaction to distraction and interruptions. It is a trained art. But let us move on from these obvious scenarios and get into so tough stuff.

Can you battle you, rather than them?

Can you fight that first urge is frustration and irritation?

The Power of Love

Seems like just another song. But it ain't

"The Power Of Love"

The power of love is a curious thing
make a one man weep, make another man sing
Change a hawk to a little white dove
more than a feeling that's the power of love

Tougher than diamonds, rich like cream
Stronger and harder than a bad girl's dream
make a bad one good make a wrong one right
power of love that keeps you home at night

You don't need money, don't take fame
Don't need no credit card to ride this train
It's strong and it's sudden and it's cruel sometimes
but it might just save your life
That's the power of love
That's the power of love

First time you feel it, it might make you sad
Next time you feel it it might make you mad
But you'll be glad baby when you've found
that's the power makes the world go'round

And it don't take money, don't take fame
don't need no credit card to ride this train
It's strong and it's sudden it can be cruel sometimes
but it might just save your life

They say that all in love is fair
yeah, but you don't care
But you know what to do
when it gets hold of you
and with a little help from above
you feel the power of love
you feel the power of love
Can you feel it?
Hmm
It don't take money and it don't take fame
don't need no credit card to ride this train
Tougher than diamonds and stronger than steel
you won't feel nothin' till you feel
you feel the power, just the power of love
That's the power, that's the power of love
You feel the power of love
you feel the power of love
feel the power of love

Where does love come from?

Have you ever just sat and thought about where love comes from?

Literally traveled the world.

Some are fortunate indeed to have been on every continent, save Atlantis, even the Articas. And for this fortunate soul I have seen devastation and creation, abomination and reconciliation. traveled into human debris dumps that were a hundred miles long, rivers with floating dead bodies and places where the cordite and burnt gunpowder was still fresh in the air. Horrible you say! Well yes but no matter how hard we look around this world there is only one thing that is everywhere. No not fear, no not greed, no not even death or new life.

There is one thing that is omnipresent everywhere. There is one reality that never perishes in human existence. And there is one power that can be found in the worst and the best of all situations and circumstances. It just is. Shake your head and cuss this world and the people. But I can tell you true. No matter where you go or when you go there you can always find love. If not in yourself in others. It is like the 100% disease of living. Where there are humans there is love.

Go ahead and defy this, we dare you. Go ahead and try to prove that it is not so, we dare you. Love is everywhere.

No one anywhere around but the photographer and he is loving nature.

Well we know you people want something out of this hub.

So here is a secret to loving those who hate and revile you, or just those who extremely bother you. The only who or what here is you. It just is not about them. It is about you. Do not even try to wrap your mind around it.

A great man is accredited with writing this little ditty that can be found in most good book stores and in the most popular book or all times. Notice that it is not about who to love but how to love and it stands the test of time as very accurate and very righteous and cool. Or as we like to say true dat.

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Now I am no genius and I am not rich or poor. I am rich in one thing and one thing only. I am rich in love.

Please next time you are called to negative crap. Just think about this little hub written by a very poor man who is rich in love. A man who wakes up and loves the air he breathes for it is a breath of air and with that he can love life and give love and life to others though he is not worthy to clean your sandal strap.

Nadine, love should be a "just is". But if we go just being "just is" then we just love ourselves. It takes some outward manifestation, or it is self centered. I suppose you love me. But how the heck do I know that, you do not act like you do. "oh I do not need to prove it to anyone", what a shitty world that would be. But if it is yours, bless it and you.

Interesting perspective on Love. That LOVE is a trained art floored me somewhat. Love just is. For me its the only creative force that sustains the universe.
