I share my experiences, my emotions and believe in myself. I am positive, confident and love life.

The Beautiful Person

A beautiful romantic movie, about two people who formed a relationship, based on their love for each other, and not on their features.

I watched the movie three times and really enjoyed the way Alix Miller(Janine Turner) played her role.

There was nothing much to watch and while browsing I came across this story. The emotional insecurity that meets the eye of Leland Crompton(Jamie Sheridan), held my focus on the movie, and I continued watching right till the end.

The lovely woman arrived in New Hampshire to paint the portrait of Leland Crompton, he lived in a quiet place so as not to be seen by anyone the isolation worked out for him.

The two met in a mysterious way, after her arrival at the mansion she went for a walk in the snow and sketched some of the Pine trees.

She walked further into the vicinity and stumbled over a twig sticking out of the snow. When she rolled over on her back and moaned to get up, Leland Crompton gave her a hand to get up Alix Miller looked up surprised and accepted his hand to pull her up from the light fall.

A friendship is formed during her stay at the mansion, and a man who is being horribly disfigured closed himself from the outside world.

He was afraid of others looking at his scarred face. While together they form an intimate understanding and develop a romantic bond.

He has a gentle voice and playing a part of a beast is an incredible act by Jamie Sheridan.

Beauty is from within, and you know that when you see movies like this one it makes me think of how people look at beauty. The Beauty and the Beast movie is so perfectly created, and in this version, it is truly worth watching more than once.

If you are feeling insecure about your appearance, then take a look at this movie. You would be moved by how two people formed a bond without the idea of their appearances.

Here, the love they saw in each other’s eyes, and that created a wall between their eyes of beauty. What she saw in him, is what nobody else could see. His love for her and the kindness of a true individual who opened her heart for a man, and it was not about materialism.

The best in you comes from within not from what is on the outside. A warmer kind-warmhearted man who won't even go shopping because of the way he looked. His face scared children in public places and he had his heart broken once before with a woman he dearly loved.

Nothing came of that relationship for Leland Crompton would not let it be. He was not free for her and wanted what he preferred was best for him.

To be isolated rather than be in public places.

  • How do you see love and beauty?

  • Is there a chance of you loving someone, but won't go further because you are afraid of what they would say about your looks?

  • Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder, but how many of you think that way?

Every individual is beautiful in their own way. If you love someone, then be with them don't be insecure about your feelings and don't let their appearances get in the way of your love. You love them for who they truly are, not for what you want them to be.

  • You can't change someone to love them, can you?

To learn the moral of this romantic story.

Love and friendship should come first before looking at the beauty of an individual. This was a friendship story, and it created something between two people which I personally think was such a beautiful feeling.

In an amazing movie, the chemistry shows so much more than what he thought of himself as the beast.

The portrait brought out a magnificent feature one, not even he had dreamed of and finally accepted to look at in the art gallery where she placed it. Lee Crompton had developed Acromegaly a disease that produces large bones and once grown it can't be fixed.

A disease that affects the enlargement of both hands and feet, and the facial bones. He was afraid of being hurt again and did not know how to cope with this relationship.

This man shows this woman his feelings and that he too can feel, talk, run and jump like any other he just looks different to other people. I see the beauty of others, but not as ugly, plain-looking, or simply looking, to me kindness is more important.

Never judge a book by its cover!

People are in different shapes, and sizes and features are unique, so one should be treated with love and not different because they don't look good enough to your eyes.

  • What is more important beauty or kindness?

  • Does beauty matter to every person?

Most people choose individuals with physical traits this includes beauty something society can't get rid of.

  • Take care of your hair, skin, nails, and body to be beautiful, but do you always have to put beauty before age?

  • Do you not think personality should matter more than beauty?

That is who you really are, no matter what you look like thinking of changing that look is not going to work for you from within or from the outside. You must see yourself as unique, and beautiful without allowing the opinions of others to affect your emotions.

Why is beauty so important?

Beauty controls the lives of individuals to seduce one another, and to get what they want whenever and with whomever. The acceptance of beauty is uncontrollable.

Beauty and intelligence have a great difference. If someone is beautiful they will get by in this rough world, even though they are not intelligent enough.

They would get that job with a low fitted top, or with an effective smile. Beautiful people can be ugly on the inside.

A part about them you don't always see right away. The common values you hold in society are based on physical appearance.

Not only do these people seem to be more beautiful, but also a lot uglier 'on the inside'. Beauty holds the cards to better jobs and personality and intellect does not control such situations. The way you were raised to believe certain things in life and beauty is part of the growing up the deal.

What you were taught is what you believe when older and this goes on for many generations. Trying to prove to others who is more beautiful than the other is no problem once you think that way.

People say beautiful for convenience, you can't say that one is beautiful on the outside because that definitely would be awkward. When someone is beautiful on the inside that person is good warmhearted, or kind to you.

Inner beauty is another matter altogether. Physical appeal by no means determines a person’s traits at least not directly.

The not so good looking as you will say can be horrible or kind to you, likewise, even pageant queens can have hearts of gold or stone.

  • Ever thought about that?

Don't look for that good-looking person think of the warmth and the kindness they have to offer.
