The Dog Whisperer-Something Uplifting-and Not Just for Relationships

Updated on August 18, 2011

Magic Or What? You Let Me Know!.

I was watching an episode of the ‘dog whisperer’ & something magical happened.

The lady’s dog had a few behavioral problems & Ceser Millan, the dog whisperer, was called in to sort it out.

The lady being filmed was most amazing. She was confined to a wheelchair & she had, over time, using her unique knowledge, with lots of patience & plenty of persistence, taught her dog to do all kinds of helpful tasks, & some nifty tricks too, that would help her, the owner of the dog, to live a more comfortable & manageable life.

Then something magical happened and I was amazed!

Whilst watching I discovered that the lady was limited in what she does physically, not because of her invalidity, but because of her thoughts!

Her thoughts held her back. Even though she wanted to achieve what she desired.

She had ambitions & she wanted to socialize more, get out & do stuff, help folk out in any way she can, she wanted to input into the world by showing others what she wanted them to know concerning her own experiences & points of view for the others benefits, & her philosophies & intentions were absolutely wonderful & Cesar knew this, but she came up with a statement to the dog whisperer that totally shocked him!

& me!

I nearly fell out of my chair.

She complained softly, the sadness built into her face, she told Cesar, ‘but I’m frightened I won’t be accepted!’ She bowed her head down in shame!

Cesar glanced straight into the camera lens, his eyes widened with shock & his jet black pupils were menacing. I nearly choked on my beer! His goatee glistened moistly due to the cameras spotlight, he forced a minute cough & brought his hand up to his chin & said, ‘Mm, what this lady has to understand is, she has to accept herself first! As soon as she does this, others will accept her!’ (Or other words to that effect!)

This guy is phenomenal!

Accept yourself!

I'm now a big fan!

Magic or what? You let me know.

And what about you? Hold your head up high & accept who you are & be the best you can because that’s the best you can do! & don’t let ‘just a thought’ hold you back if you really want to do it & you know it’s in your best interest, it could be doable if only you'd give it a try so go for it!

Thanks for reading, please leave your comment & I will surely get back to you.

Thanks so much Dale for telling us about this episode of the 'dog whisperer.' I can imagine how powerful that was to witness that woman's desires and fears. How sad :-( We all struggle with something in this crazy life and it's great you wrote this to inspire hope and remind us that we all have choices. I hope this lonely woman had the will to overcome her deep feelings of shame. I am sure she went through something very traumatic and painful in her childhood to have this level of self-loathing and shame. Great hub Dale-I hit every button except funny.
